Answer:

Greta could also have sent the payment by making a transfer online however sending a check is safer than sending cash. ( C )

Step-by-step explanation:

There are several ways Greta could have sent the money across to her Aunt Rebecca and these ways include all of the following : through online transfer, making payments into Aunt Rebecca's account in the bank, sending her a check in a mail, and also sending her cash in a mail.

All these ways are means of sending money across to a recipient but the fastest ,smartest and safest way of sending money across to a recipient would be making online transfers because this ensures fast reception of the cash and no third party is involved in the transaction as well.

Due to technology advancements online transfers take practically no time to arrive in  the recipients account.

Serga [27]

I'd say the answer to the first question is D) 0 to 4 with intervals of 0.2.

Because, you can't just have 1 to 4, as some of the numbers are less than 1.  Of course you can't have 2 to 5 either. And intervals of 2 would be too messy.

For the second question:

I believe the answer is A. Because it's obvious that there IS one outlier, and it looks like there are two clusters.

So, the answers are: A) and D).

21. Given directed line segment WV , find the coordinates of R
Jobisdone [24]

Answer:

R\left(\frac {4x_1+3x_2}{7} , \frac {4y_1+3y_2}{7}\right)

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the coordinate of the points W, V and R are (x_1,y_1), (x_2,y_2), and (x_s,y_s)respectively.

The coordinate of the section point, (x_s,y_s), which divides the line joining the two points (x_1,y_1) and (x_2,y_2) in the ration m:n is

x_s=\frac {nx_1+mx_2}{m+n} and

y_s=\frac {ny_1+my_2}{m+n}.

The given ration is, m:n=3:4

R(x_s,y_s)=R\left(\frac {nx_1+mx_2}{m+n} , \frac {ny_1+my_2}{m+n}\right)

=R\left(\frac {4x_1+3x_2}{7} , \frac {4y_1+3y_2}{7}\right).

The exact point can be determined by putting the value of the exact coordinate in the above-obtained formula.

A falcon flying 55 mph crosses a lake in 1 minute. How long would it take a hummingbird flying 45 mph to cross the same lake?
OverLord2011 [107]

Answer:

1 2/9 minutes

Step-by-step explanation:

55 mph

55 / 60 = 11/12

11/12 of a mile = 1 minute

45 mph

45 / 60 = 3/4

3/4 of a mile = 1 minute

11/12 divided by 3/4

11/12 * 4/3

We can cross-cancel

11/3 * 1/3 = 11/9 = 1 2/9

It takes 1 2/9 minutes for the hummingbird to cross the lake

Hope this helps!
