Answer:

7 hours

Step-by-step explanation:

Hello

in physics, velocity is the physical magnitude that shows and expresses the variation in terms of position of an object and as a function of time

V=\frac{s}{t} \\\\

where, V is velocity, s is the distance  and t  is the time

isolating time(t)

V=\frac{s}{t} \\\\\\\\V*t=s\\\\t=\frac{s}{V}

t_{1}=\frac{150\ miles}{50\frac{mi}{h} }\\t_{1}=3\ hours\\\\t_{2}=\frac{160\ miles}{40\frac{mi}{h} }\\t_{1}=4\ hours\\\\the\ total\ time\ he\ drove\\\\t_{1}+t_{2}=3\ h + 4\ h\\\\total\ time = 7\ hours

Have a great day

Divide 150 by 50 to get that that part of the drive took 3 hours.  Then divide 160 by 40 to get that that part of the drive took 4 hours.  Therefore, the whole trip took 7 hours.

Turkey sandwiches cost $2.50 and veggie wraps cost $3.50 at a snack stand. Ben has sold no more than $30 worth of turkey sandwic
grigory [225]

<u>Answer:</u>

The maximum number of turkey sandwiches Ben could have sold is 6.

<u>Step-by-step explanation:</u>

We are given that turkey sandwiches cost $2.50 and veggie wraps cost $3.50 at a snack stand.

Given the information, we are to find the maximum value of turkey sandwiches Ben could have sold.

2 . 5 0 x + 3 . 5 0 y \leq 3 0

Number of veggie wraps sold (y) = 4

2.50x + 3.50(4) <   30

2.50x + 14          <   30

<u>           - 14               -14 </u>

2.50x                   <   16

Find the positive value of k such that the area of the region enclosed between the graph y=kcosx and the graph y=kx^2 is 2
Ilya [14]
Both these graphs will pass through the origin so you need to work out  the difference in areas by  integrating

INtegral k cos x (between the limits 0 and a) - Intgral kx^2 ( between 0 and a) = 2
Find k
(where a is the value of x on positive side of the graph where the 2 curves intersect)

Which function is a quadratic function? c(x) = 6x + 3x3 d(x) = x – 8x4 p(x) = –5x – x2 k(x) = 2x2 + 9x4
trapecia [35]
Quadratic means 2nd degree

means highest power of variable is 2

c(x)=6x+3x^3
3rd degree, not quadratic

d(x)=x-8x^4,
4th degree, not quadratic

p(x)=-5x-x^2
2nd degree, it's quadratic

k(x)=2x^2+9x^4
4th degree, not quadratic

answer is p(x)=-5x-x^2
