Paul has been a close friend with isabella for some time. he doesn't know susan very well, though; the two just don't have much

in common. susan gets into some trouble for the first time ever in class. paul tells his friends "susan is a troublemaker!" a few weeks later, isabella gets into the same kind of trouble in the same class. when asked, paul tells his friends that "isabella got into trouble, but it wasn't her fault." what can you infer based on paul's language in this scenario?

b. it's most likely paul is a bad person.
c. it's most likely isabella is an out-group member with paul, and susan is in an in-group.

A...from my own experience, people always judge you by which group you're in. If Paul was a bad person, he would also judge Isabella, along with Susan.

The correct answer is A. It's most likely Isabella is an in-group member with Paul, and Susan is in an out-group.

Explanation:

In group and individual's interaction, different relationships can emerge including in-groups and out-groups. In-groups refers to the group individuals identify and think they belong to, this implies they share interests with the members of these groups and will support or defend those that belong to the group. On the opposite, an out-group refers to the group individuals feel they do not belong to and therefore an individual is less likely to support or defend people that are in the outside group.

This implies, in the case presented Paul probably feels Isabela is an in-group member and because of this, he tries to defend her due to the affinity he has for her and on the opposite he considers Susan is in an out-group and therefore he does not defend her, this also explains besides both girls got in the same trouble Paul feels a favoritism or preference for Isabella.

Pamela is having issues dealing with authority, first with teachers, now with the group co-leaders. Group members are consulted
evablogger [386]

Answer: The working stage

Explanation:

In all teamwork there will always be times where things will turn out well and others where problems will arise, this is normal since human beings are different and not sharing the same ideas in some cases can create conflicts. Any working group can present conflicts at a certain moment, but when the group has matured enough it is easier to find the necessary tools to solve the problems.

In Pamela's case, she is in a situation where she is causing conflicts since she does not obey the authorities, also creating conflicts with her co-leaders. Members of the group were talking about how they felt about Pamela and are looking for solutions to Pamela's rebellions. When a group meets to find a solution to a conflict, it can be said that it is in the working stage. At this stage, the group has grown and has been working, and when a situation arises that may interfere with work the main objective is to resolve the matter.

100 people are attending a newspaper conference. 45 of them are writers and more than 38 are editors. Of the people at the confe
tigry1 [53]

Answer:

There will be 16 people who are both writer and editor

Explanation:

We have given there are total of 100 people

So total = 100

There are 45 writers so,Writers = 45;

It is given that there are more than 38 editors so ,Editors > 38

Both = x;

Neither = 2x

We know that

Total = Writers + Editors - Both + Neither

100 = 45 + Editors - x + 2x

x = 55 - Editors

We want to maximize x, thus we should minimize Editors minimum possible value of Editors is 39, thus:

x = Both = 55 - 39 = 16.
