Insulin is a hormone that travels through the blood to cells, triggering the cells to alter metabolic processes. insulin does no

t enter target cells, but instead binds to an extracellular receptor, starting a signal transduction pathway in the cell. put the steps of the signal transduction pathway in order from the circulation of insulin in the blood to the alteration of the cell\'s metabolism.

Following are the steps of the signal transduction in order from the circulation in the blood to teh alteration of the cell's metabolism.

1. Insulin circulates in the blood.

2. Insulin combines extracellularly with the insulin receptor and stimulates receptor tyrosine kinase.

3. The receptor tyrosine kinase phosphorylates another tyrosine kinase.

4. Proteins, which comprise of a SH2 domain determine the stimulated tyrosine kinase.

5. SH2 comprising proteins are stimulated by the phosphorylated receptor tyrosine kinase.

6. Alteration of cell metabolism takes place.

Is DNP and cyanide an inhibitor of cellular respiration?
DENIUS [597]

Answer: Yes.

Explanation:

DNP and cyanide are both cellular respiration inhibitor.

Cyanide is a neurotoxin that can prevent cellular respiration by it's inactivation activity on mitochondria enzymes called cytochrome oxidase.

DNP (2,4-Dinitrophenol is a chemical that inhibit cellular respiration. It help to shuttle proton across cell membranes of living cells by spreading the proton along along the mitochondria and collapsing the force that produced energy for the cell activities.

Mendel investigates stem length, or height in pea plants what if he had investigated human height instead why would his results
WINSTONCH [101]

Human height is one of the traits that belong to traits that cannot easily be placed in discrete phenotypic classes (there is not only tall and short people, there is continuous variation of height between them). Such traits are usually controlled by more than one gene (polygenic traits).

On the other hand, a Mendelian trait is controlled by a single locus.
