At a plant, 20% of all the produced parts are subject to a special electronic inspection. it is known that any produced part whi

ch was inspected electronically has no defects with probability 0.95. for a part that was not inspected electronically this probability is only 0.7. a customer receives a part and find defects in it. what is the probability that this part went through an electronic inspection?

solution:

P(inspect) = 0.20, P(no inspect) = 0.80

P(defect|inspect) = 0.05

P(defect|no inspect) = 0.30

P(defect) = P(defect|inspect)\timesP(inspect) + P(defect|no inspect)\timesP(no inspect) = 0.05\times0.20 + 0.30\times0.80 = 0.10+0.24 = 0.34

\frac{P(inspect and defect)}{P(defect)}

= 0.10/0.34 = 0.294

To reduce wear and tear on the family vehicle, you decide to rent a car. Happy Harry’s Rentals has a $500 fee for any rental up
yan [13]

Let's use 8 days as the maximum time we are going to be renting the car.

Putting that into the equation means, 500$ for Harry's Rentals and Smilin' Sam's at $600.

Therefore, Happy Harry's Rentals are better for the 7th and 8th days while Smiling Sam's are the better from day's 1 to 6.

Work:

500$ is a fixed value so it doesn't change (constant)

200 + 50x

x = days

8 days = 8x

200 + 50(8)

200 + 400 = 600

A parcel has a mass of 500g. Calculate its weight. (Assume the gravitational field strength is 10N/kg).
Elan Coil [88]

Answer:

The weight of the parcel is 5 N

Step-by-step explanation:

we know that

Weight can be calculated using the equation:

 W=mg

where

W ----> weight (W) is measured in newtons (N)

m ----> mass (m) is measured in kilograms (kg)

g ----> gravitational field strength (g) is measured in newtons per kilogram (N/kg)

In this problem we have

g=10\ N/kg

m=500\ g

Remember that

1\ kg=1,000\ g

To convert g to kg

Divide by 1,000

so

m=500\ g=500/1,000=0.5\ kg

substitute the values in the equation

W=(0.5)(10)=5\ N

therefore

The weight of the parcel is 5 N

Use a table of numerical values of f(x,y) for (x,y) near the origin to make a conjecture about the value of the limit of f(x,y)
grigory [225]
Seems to be that the limit to compute is

\displaystyle\lim_{(x,y)\to(0,0)}\frac{xy}{x^2+2y^2}

Consider an arbitrary line through the origin y=mx, so that we rewrite the above as

\displaystyle\lim_{x\to0}\frac{mx^2}{x^2+2m^2x^2}=\lim_{x\to0}\frac m{1+2m^2}=\frac m{1+2m^2}

The value of the limit then depends on the slope m of the line chosen, which means the limit is path-dependent and thus does not exist.

The radius of circle G is 4 cm. What is the tangent
qaws [65]
The tangent of a given circle is perpendicular to the radius a the point called point if tangency. The radius of the circle is perpendicular to the tangent at the point of tangency. This property is especially useful in cases where the radius that connects to the point of tangency forms a part of right angle because the pythagorean theorem and trigonometry apply to right angles.
