Answer:

First answer

number of cats = 2

number of hamsters = 4

number of birds = 8

number of fishes = 1

Second answer

number of cats = 3

number of hamster = 6

number of  birds   =2

number of fishes =  4

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the number of cats be x . Let number of birds be y and Let number of fishes be z.

number of hamsters = 2 number of cats

                                    =2x

birds +cats + hamsters + fish = 15

 y +x +2x + z  = 15

y +3x + z =  15

then number of hamsters = 2x

birds has legs = 2

hamster legs = 4

cats legs = 4

total legs  =40

2y+4x+4(2x) =40

2y+12x = 40

y+6x = 20   ,Since x ,y z are natural number   ,since x ,y and z are numbers of pets of each kind which have to be natural number ,therefore

Case 1 for y = 2   x = 3

for y = 8  x = 2

for y = 2 and x =3 ,we have

2+3(3) +z = 15

2+9+z = 15

11 +z = 15

 z = 15 -11 = 4

Case 2

for y= 8 and x=2 ,we have

8 +3(2) + z = 15

8 +6 +z = 15

   z =15-14 = 1

We have two answers for this problem

First answer

number of cats = 2

number of hamsters = 4

number of birds = 8

number of fishes = 1

Second answer

number of cats = 3

number of hamster = 6

number of  birds   =2

number of fishes =  4

For case 1   fish % =   \frac{1}{15} x100=6.67 %

For case 2  fish =   \frac{3}{15} X100=20%

find the balance in the account. $2,400 principal earning 2%, compounded annually, after 7 years $2,736.00 $2,756.85 $307,200.00
Alex17521 [72]
The future worth (F) of the current investment (P) that has an interest (i) that is compounded annually is calculated through,
                                  F = P x (1 + i)^n
where n is the number of compounding period. Substituting the given values,
                             F = ($2,400) x ( 1+ 0.02)^7 = $2,756.85
Thus, the future worth is approximately $2,756.85. The answer is the second choice.

sergejj [24]

Answer:

1/6

Step-by-step explanation:

two events need to happen: tutti frutti needs to be shown by first spinner and second spinner needs to show dish

probability of tutti frutti = 1/3

probability of dish = 1/2

probability of both events = 1/3 * 1 /2 = 1/6

If 5 + 6i is a root of the polynomial function f(x), which of the following must also be a root of f(x)? –5 – 6i 5 – 6i 6 – 5i 6
san4es73 [151]

Answer: 5-6i

The rule is that if f(x) has real number coefficients, then a root of x = a+bi pairs up with its conjugate pair of x = a - bi. In this case, a = 5 and b = 6.

What is the simplified form of the following expression? 2 StartRoot 18 EndRoot + 3 StartRoot 2 EndRoot + StartRoot 162 EndRoot
ExtremeBDS [4]

Answer:

18\sqrt2

Step-by-step explanation:

To simplify:

2 \sqrt{18}+ 3 \sqrt2+ \sqrt{162 }

First of all, let us write 18 and 162 as product of prime factors:

18 = 2 \times \underline{3 \times 3}\\162 = 2 \times \underline{3 \times 3} \times \underline{3 \times 3}

The pairs are underlined as above.

While taking roots, only one of the numbers from the pairs will be chosen.

Now, taking square roots.

\sqrt{18} =3 \sqrt2

162 = 3 \times 3 \times \sqrt 2  = 9 \sqrt2

So, the given expression becomes:

2 \sqrt{18}+ 3 \sqrt2+ \sqrt{162 } = 2 \times 3\sqrt2 + 3\sqrt2 +9\sqrt2\\\Rightarrow 6\sqrt2 + 3\sqrt2 +9\sqrt2\\\Rightarrow \sqrt2(6+3+9)\\\Rightarrow \bold{18\sqrt2}

So, the answer is:

18\sqrt2 or 18 StartRoot 2 EndRoot
