Answer:

The attitudes-follow-behavior principle.

Explanation:

The attitudes-follow-behavior principle: The attitude-follow-behavior principle is defined as an individual can't control his or her feelings directly yet he or she can influence the feelings by changing or altering a particular behavior.

According to this principle, the more an individual feels dissonance i.e, the conflicts between thoughts and behavior the more he or she is directed towards finding a consistency, for example, changing one's attitude or behavior to explain certain acts.

In the question above, Chan is likely to change his negative attitude towards the work through the attitude-follow-behavior principle.

In-s [12.5K]

Answer:

z=1.28

And if we solve for a we got

a=58 +1.28*5=64.4

So the value of height that separates the bottom 90% of data from the top 10% is 64.4.

Explanation:

Previous concepts

Normal distribution, is a "probability distribution that is symmetric about the mean, showing that data near the mean are more frequent in occurrence than data far from the mean".

The Z-score is "a numerical measurement used in statistics of a value's relationship to the mean (average) of a group of values, measured in terms of standard deviations from the mean".

Solution to the problem

Let X the random variable that represent the velocity of a population, and for this case we know the distribution for X is given by:

X \sim N(58,5)

Where \mu=58 and \sigma=5

For this part we want to find a value a, such that we satisfy this condition:

P(X>a)=0.10 (a)

P(X (b)

Both conditions are equivalent on this case. We can use the z score again in order to find the value a.

As we can see on the figure attached the z value that satisfy the condition with 0.90 of the area on the left and 0.1 of the area on the right it's z=1.28. On this case P(Z<1.28)=0.9 and P(z>1.28)=0.1

If we use condition (b) from previous we have this:

P(X

P(z

But we know which value of z satisfy the previous equation so then we can do this:

z=1.28

And if we solve for a we got

a=58 +1.28*5=64.4

So the value of height that separates the bottom 90% of data from the top 10% is 64.4.

Question 1 what is the best evaluation of this argument? "a university was saved from financial and academic disaster by its pro
Lesechka [4]
The best evaluation would be that the statement is invalid because we cannot be sure if the argument is referring to the same provost. The whole paragraph is a fallacy. It was not directly stated that James Hoopster was the provost who saved the university from crisis. It just so happened that James Hoopster took the same path as to the provost who saved the university.

The gestalt principle of proximity is the tendency ________. to perceive objects, or figures, on some background to complete fig
katrin [286]
I think the correct answer would be the third option. The gestalt principle of proximity is the tendency to perceive objects that are close to each other as part of the same grouping. It states that if shapes are close to each other, then you would see them as groups no matter if the sizes and shapes are different from each other as long as they are close to one another. This principle of proximity is one of Gestalts principle which is focused on how every stimulus would be perceived in the most simple form. It is also called as the Law of Simplicity or the Law of Pragnanz. It is based on the principle that the whole has a greater value than its parts.

Mr. Sun goes to bed because I do."" This 3-year-old's statement shows signs of: centering. artificialism. seriation. egocentrism
nikitadnepr [17]

Answer:

Cent-ration

Explanation:

Cent-ration is the tendency in which a child-focused only one aspect of the situation rather see another aspect of the situation. The child does not develop abstract reasoning at that time. Children think only in one way but when they start to think another perspective as well they start to decent er the situation. Children start to think about another perspective of the situation.

Thus here in the above context, Mr. Sun goes to bed because I do is the example of cent-ration in Piaget's developmental stage. It occurs in the pre-operational stage.
