Dependent and independent variables. ... The dependent variables represent the output or outcome whose variation is being studied. The independent variables, also known in a statistical context as regressors, represent inputs or causes, that is, potential reasons for variation.

An independent variable is a variable that is manipulated to determine the value of a dependent variable s. The dependent variable is what is being measured in an experiment or evaluated in a mathematical equation and the independent variables are the inputs to that measurement.

Answer:

The independent input is the cost of each necklace because you can buy a lot of jewerly and have the cost multiplied by how much they are going to buy. But the $6 of shipping is the dependent because you can as many jewerly as you want but the shipping amount multiplies depending on how much jewerly the person will buy.

hope this lets u know the answer comment if not.

If Mitzi has two dogs, a puppy that weighs 25 pounds and an adult that weighs 80 pounds, how much will it cost to bathe them bot
Sidana [21]

Answer:

The correct answer is A) $105

Step-by-step explanation:

In this real-world problem,  the cost to groom both dogs is (the puppy) + (the adult dog) = x.

For the first step, y = 40, if x <= 25.

y = 50, if 25 < x < 50.

if x >= 50, then y = 0.50x + 25

So therefore, substitute the puppy + adult dog = x

25 + 80 = x

105 = x

So, the final answer is $105.

Bob spent $64 for two shirts, including tax. The difference between the costs of the shirts was $16. Write two equations that yo
djyliett [7]

x+y=64 and x-y=16 can be used to solve the system.

Step-by-step explanation:

Let,

x,y be the two shirts.

According to given statement;

Bob spent $64 on both shirts;

x+y=64    Eqn 1

The difference between the costs of the shirts was $16 means subtraction;

x-y=16      Eqn 2

x+y=64 and x-y=16 can be used to solve the system.

Frank has three times as many dollars as Deandra, and Charlie has 20 more dollars than Frank. If Charlie has $65, how much money
My name is Ann [436]

Answer:

$15

Step-by-step explanation:

Let Frank be f

Deandra be d and

Charlie be c

f = 3d ......(i)

c=$20+f.....(ii)

c=$65........(iii)

Equate (ii) and (iii)

$20+f = $65

f = $45.......(iv)

Equate (i) and (iv)

3d = $45

d = $15

Deandra has $15.

If a car goes around a turn too quickly, it can leave tracks that form an arc of a circle. By finding the radius of the circle,
liubo4ka [24]
Given:
Segment AC = 130 feet
Segment CD = 70 feet

I think that I'll be using the Pythagorean Theorem in finding the value of r. r will be the hypotenuse

Segment CE = (r - 70 feet)

r² = a² + b²
r² = 130² + (r-70)²
r² = 16,900 + (r-70)(r-70)
r² = 16,900 + r² - 70r - 70r + 4900
r² - r² + 140r = 16,900 + 4,900
140r = 21,800
r = 21,800/140
r = 155.71 feet

The radius of the circle is 155.71 feet.
