Answer:

Breakeven is 24 students

Explanation:

Breakeven is when the sales are equal to cost.

So,

Sales= Px*Q

Px is the price of the training session

Q are the number of participants

Sales= 150Q

Cost= fix cost+variables cost

Cost=3000+25Q

Breakeven

150Q=3000+25Q

150Q-25Q=3000

125Q=3000

Q=3000/125

Q=24

Breakeven is 24 students

Aleonysh [2.5K]

Answer:

$458,000

Explanation:

The computation of the total production cost in case of 85,000 toys are produced

The fixed cost is

= Total manufacturing cost - total variable cost

= $360,000 - $140,000

= $220,000

And, the variable cost per unit is

= $140,000 ÷ 50,000 toys

= $2.8

So for 85,000 toys, the total production cost is

 = Fixed cost + Variable cost × variable cost per unit

= $220,000 + 85,000 toys × $2.8

= $220,000 + $238,000

= $458,000

harkovskaia [24]

Answer: See explanation

Explanation:

a. Direct material = 4 × 33300 = Make $133200 ; Net income increase

Direct labor = 5 × 33300 = Make $166500 ; Net income increase

Variable costing= 0.61 × $166500 = Make $101565 ; Net income increase

Fixed manufacturing = Make 43100 ; Buy 43100 ;

Purchase price = 13.16 × 33300 = Buy $438228 ; Net income decrease

Total annual cost:

Make: $444365

Buy: $481328

Net income decrease = $36963

b. No, Pottery Ranch should not buy the finials. There's an incremental cost of $36963.

c. Incremental revenue = $50,367

Incremental cost = $36963

Incremental revenue = $50367 - $36963 = $13404

In this case, it should be bought.
