Answer:

The greatest prime factor of k is 11.

Step-by-step explanation:

∵  LCM( 2, 15) = 30,

Thus, the even multiple of 15 must be multiple of 30,

That is, the even multiple of 15 between 295 and 615 are

300, 330, 360,..........600

Which is an AP,

Having first term, a = 300,

Common difference, d = 30,

If n be the number terms,

Last term = a+(n-1)d

=300+(n-1)30

=270 + 30n

\implies 270+30n = 600\implies 30n = 330\implies n = 11

Hence, the sum of the all even multiple of 15 from 295 to 615,

S_{11}=\frac{11}{2}(2(300)+(11-1)30)=\frac{11}{2}(600+300)=\frac{11}{2}(900)=11\times 450

According to the question,

S_{11}=k

⇒ k = 11 × 450 = 11 × 5 × 5 × 3 × 3 × 2

Hence, the greatest prime factor of k is 11.

ICE Princess25 [194]

Answer:

a. Error is 0.14

b. between 1913.68 to 1772.32

Step-by-step explanation:

Requirement a)

The margin of error is a statistic expressing the amount of random sampling error in a survey's results.

Given,

Size of the sample n = 50

We know, At 95% confidence interval,

The margin of error,

= 0.98/√n

= 0.98/√50

= 0.98/7.07

= 0.13859 ~ 0.14

So the margin of error at 95% confidence level is 0.14.

Requirement b)

Given,

Standard deviation σ = 255

Population mean z = 1814

Size of the sample n = 50

We know, At 95% confidence interval,

(z-µ)/(σ/√n)  < Z_0.05

= - Z_0.05 < (z-µ)/(σ/√n) < Z_0.05

= - 1.96 * σ/√n < (z-µ)/(σ/√n)*  σ/√n  < 1.96 * σ/√n  [ in two tail Z test the value of Z_0.05 is 1.96 ]

= - 1.96 * 255/√50 < Z-µ <  1.96 * 255/√50

= -70.6828 < Z-µ < 70.6828

= 70.6828 > µ - Z > -70.6828

= 70.6828 + Z > µ > -70.6828 + Z

= 70.6828 + 1814 > µ > -70.6828 + 1814

=1913.68 > µ > 1772.32

So, the sample mean would be between 1913.68 to 1772.32.

Benjamin decides to treat himself to breakfast at his favorite restaurant. He orders chocolate milk that costs \$3.25$3.25dollar
sdas [7]

Complete question:

Benjamin decides to treat himself to breakfast at his favorite restaurant. He orders chocolate milk that costs \$3.25$3.25dollar sign, 3, point, 25. Then, he wants to buy as many pancakes as he can, but he wants his bill to be at most \$30$30dollar sign, 30 before tax. The restaurant only sells pancakes in stacks of 444 pancakes for \$5.50$5.50dollar sign, 5, point, 50. Let SSS represent the number of stacks of pancakes that Benjamin buys. 1) Which inequality describes this scenario?

Answer:

Kindly check explanation

Step-by-step explanation:

Given that :

Cost of chocolate milk = $3.25

Cost of pancakes = $5.50 (stack of 4)

Number of stacks of pancakes purchased = S

Maximum amount spent ≤ $30

Cost of chocolate + (Cost of pancake stack * number of stacks) ≤ $30

3.25 + 5.50S ≤ 30

5.50S ≤ 30 - 3.25

5.50S ≤ 26.75

S ≤ 26.75 / 5.50

S ≤ 4.86

Hence maximum number of pancake stacks he can purchase without exceeding budget = 4

Hence total number of pancakes = number of stacks * number in a stack

= 4 * 4

= 16
