Answer:

20 cm

Step-by-step explanation:

We are given a trapezoid, where the length of shorter base or on of the parllel line is 16 cm and the length of other parallel side is 24 cm.

Let the two parallel sides be x and y that is x = 16 cm and y = 24 cm.

A median of a trapezoid is a line segment that divides the non parallel sides of a trapezoid equally or a line segment that passes through the mid points of non-parallel sides of a trapezoid.

The length of median of a trapezoid = \frac{\text{Sum of parallel sides}}{2} = \frac{16+24}{2} = 20 cm.

Thus, the length of median of trapezoid is 20 cm.

mixas84 [53]

Answer:

A) 3.5

B) 1.6202

Step-by-step explanation:

In binomial distribution,

E(X) = np and Var(X) = npq while

SD (X) = √(npq)

Where n is number of cards drawn

p is probability of getting one particular shape

q = 1-p

So from the question, n = 14

p = 13/52 = 1/4

q = 1-(1/4) = 3/4

So;

A) E(x) = np = 14 x 1/4 = 3.5

B) SD (X) = √(npq) = √(14 x 1/4 x 3/4) = √(42/16) = √2.625 = 1.6202

The following graph shows the consumer price index (CPI) for a fictional country from 1990 to 2000.For which of these time perio
KatRina [158]

Answer:

Option B. 1990 - 1992

Step-by-step explanation:

If we have to calculate inflation rate in year 2000 from 1990, we use the formula

inflation=\frac{C.P.I. 2000-C.P.I. 1990}{C.P.I 1990}\times 100

which means if consumer price index is increasing year by year the inflation rate will increase.

Now we analyse our options given with the help of graph given.

A. from 1994 - 2000

Consumer price index increased from year 1994 to 1998 but decreased between 1998 to 2000.

So this option doesn't show the continuous inflation.

B. Year 1990 - 1992

We find a continuous increase in C.P.I. therefore there will be a continuous increase in inflation.

So this option is correct.

C. Year 1992 - 1996

In this gap we see deflation from year 1992 to 1994 then inflation between 1994 - 1996.

So there is ups and downs in this period showing discontinuity in inflation.

D. 1992 - 1994

There is continuous decrease in C.P.I. so continuous deflation is reported between this period.

It's not the correct option.

Answer is Option B.

 how do i slove  5/9v+w=z, for v
nekit [7.7K]
Okay, let's do this~

we want v isolated on one side so let's bring w over through subtraction

now we have 5/9v=z-w

now, to get rid of that fraction attached to v, we will multiply it's reciprocal on both sides.

*the reciprocal of 5/9 is 9/5

(5/9) x (9/5) cancel each other leaving v isolated to the left

the other side should look like this 9/5(z-w)

now we put both parts together to end up with:

v= 9/5(z-w)

there you go! :D
