Answer:

Enzymes are typically which type of biomolecule?

Enzymes are protein biomolecules.

Enzymes are bound to specific substrate/s and act as catalysts that makes chemical reactions faster, such as breaking down lactose to smaller units of glucose, which is accomplished by lactase.

Cofactors (metal ions such as iron, zinc) and coenzymes (organic molecules like vitamins) may be needed to initiate chemical reactions.

Describe the effects that enzymes can have on substrates.

After creating the enzyme-substrate complex through induced fit, enzymatic products are seen after the reaction. The substrates may be consumed during the process or preserved to be used again.

For example, these enzymatic products may be used for feedback inhibition to control the chemical reaction and production of a certain hormone.

1. Enzymes are biomolecules in the form of proteins that function as catalysts (compounds that accelerate the reaction process without having reacted) in an organic chemical reaction. In chemistry, the substrate is usually a chemical species that is observed in a chemical reaction, which is naturally organic and reacts with reactants to produce a product.

2. Enzymes are types of biomolecules in the form of proteins.

3. The initial molecule called the substrate will accelerate its change into another molecule called a product.

Further explanation

An enzyme is a protein compound composed of protein components and also catalytic which has a use-value to accelerate a metabolic process in an organism's body. Why is this component so important in a metabolic process, because it will not be able to accelerate by reducing the activation energy needed when the metabolic reaction will begin.

The way enzymes work in a metabolic reaction in an organism's body is by reducing the activation energy, which is the energy needed to be able to start a reaction. By minimizing the "cost", the ongoing process will also be even faster.

The activation energy in a chemical reaction can be gathered as "road costs" in a production process. The lower the "road costs", the faster the process will be.

The way enzymes work in accelerating chemical reactions is by interacting with the substrate, after which the substrate will be converted into a product. When a product is formed, the enzyme will be able to release "self" from the substrate.

the air's oxygen is partially replaced by carbon dioxide. This is because of the gas exchange that occurs so we can live.

Researchers believe that in a fish species, individuals with the recessive genotype aa are predisposed to disease. Homozygous do
Nataly_w [17]

Answer:

The homozygous dominant phenotype is higher than expected, indicating that evolution has occurred.

Explanation:

At the start there are 200 fishes in the pond, 100 of them are AA(50%) and 100 of them are aa(50%). Using the Hardy-Weinberg Equilibrium equation we can say that the gene frequency is

A=0.5

a=0.5

With those frequency, the expected percentage of offspring with dominant genotype will be:

AA= 0.5 * 0.5 = 0.25 = 25%

The number of homozygous dominant found is 35% which is higher than expected (25%). Higher homozygous dominant frequency than expected means the Hardy-Weinberg Equilibrium is changed. In this case, evolution probably the cause that shifts the gene frequency.
