You are arranging a long weekend retreat for your company's executives. You choose two different ski resorts to find the best de

al for ski lessons. The executives would like to have 2 hours of ski lessons on both Friday and Saturday. Q. Super Ski charges $378 for 3 days of 2-hour lessons. Monster Ski offers lessons for $75 an hour. Super Ski is 10 miles from the hotel, and Monster Ski is 15 miles. It will cost $0.43 per mile to drive to the lessons. Monster Ski, because Super Ski has lessons for THREE days, instead of the 2. That costs over $380 for the lessons and drive. Monster Ski has lessons for 75 an hour, and that is $300 for 2 hours. A little over 305 with the drive.

Lera25 [3.4K]

Answer:

Sum = -81

Step-by-step explanation:

See the comment for complete question.

Given

c = 36 ----- Constant

No coefficient of x^2

Required:

Determine the sum of all distinct positive integers of the coefficient of x

Reading through the complete question, we can see that the question has 3 terms which are:

x^2 ---- with no coefficient

x ---- with an unknown coefficient

36 ---- constant

So, the equation can be represented as:

x^2 + ax + 36 = 0

Where a is the unknown coefficient

From the question, we understand that the equation has two negative integer solution. This can be represented as:

x = -\alpha and x = -\beta

Using the above roots, the equation can be represented as:

(x + \alpha)(x + \beta) = 0

Open brackets

x^2 + (\alpha + \beta)x + \alpha \beta = 0

To compare the above equation to x^2 + ax + 36 = 0, we have:

a = \alpha + \beta

\alpha \beta = 36

Where: \alpha, \beta and \alpha \ne \beta

The values of \alpha and \beta that satisfy \alpha \beta = 36 are:

\alpha = -1 and \beta = -36

\alpha = -2 and \beta = -18

\alpha = -3 and \beta = -12

\alpha = -4 and \beta = -9

So, the possible values of a are:

a = \alpha + \beta

When \alpha = -1 and \beta = -36

a = -1 - 36 = -37

When \alpha = -2 and \beta = -18

a = -2 - 18 = -20

When \alpha = -3 and \beta = -12

a = -3 - 12 = -15

When \alpha = -4 and \beta = -9

a = -4 - 9 = -13

At this point, we have established that the possible values of a are: -37, -20, -15 and -9.

The required sum is:

Sum = -37 -20 -15 - 9

Sum = -81

Katyanochek1 [597]

Answer:

120 days

Step-by-step explanation:

Canteen A = 12 days

Canteen B = 8 days

Canteen C = 10 days

How many days later will all three canteen serving noodles soup again?

To find the number of days all 3 canteens will serve food again, find the lowest common multiples of all 3 canteens

Canteen A = 12 days

34, 36, 48, 60, 72, 84, 96, 108, 120, 132, 144

Canteen B = 8 days

16, 24, 32, 40, 48, 56, 64, 72, 80, 88, 96, 104, 112, 120

Canteen C = 10 days

20, 30, 40, 50, 60, 70, 80, 90, 100, 110, 120, 130

The lowest common multiple of 12 days, 8 days and 10 days is 120 days

The next day all 3 canteens will serve soup together again is the next 120 days

PLS HALP ME!!!!!! You have $6.50 to make copies. Each copy costs $0.45. Write and solve an inequality that represents the number
serious [3.7K]

Step-by-step explanation:

Variable x = number of copies

6.50 <= 0.45x

Divide both sides by 0.45

6.50 ÷ 0.45 <= 0.45x ÷ 0.45

14.4444.... <= x

No more than 14 copies

6.50 <= 0.45x

6.50 <= 0.45(14.444)
