S=small pizzas
p=pasta dinners

s+p=1600

9s+13p=15600
multiply first equaiton by -9 and add to the second one

-9s-9p=-14400
<u>9s+13p=15600 +</u>
0s+4p=1200

4p=1200
divide by 4
p=300

sub back

s+p=1600
s+300=1600
minus 300 both sides
s=1300

1300 small pizzas
300 pasta dinners

Toyota advertises that their Toyota Highlander Hybrid provide 28 MPG. To test this, an experiment involving a sample of 20 Toyot
klemol [59]

Answer:

We accept the null hypothesis.

Step-by-step explanation:

We are given the following in the question:

Sample mean, \bar{x} = 28.8 miles per gallon

Sample size, n = 120

Alpha, α = 0.01

Sample standard deviation, σ = 6.89 miles per gallon

First, we design the null and the alternate hypothesis

H_{0}: \mu = 28\text{ miles per gallon.}\\H_A: \mu \neq 28\text{ miles per gallon.}

We use Two-tailed t test to perform this hypothesis.

Formula:

t_{stat} = \displaystyle\frac{\bar{x} - \mu}{\frac{\sigma}{\sqrt{n-1}} }

Putting all the values, we have

t_{stat} = \displaystyle\frac{28.8 - 28}{\frac{6.89}{\sqrt{19}} } = 0.5061

Now, t_{critical} \text{ at 0.01 level of significance, 19 degree of freedom } =\pm 2.8609 Since,

-2.609 < t_{stat} < 2.8609

We fail to reject the null hypothesis and accept it.

We accept the null hypothesis and the population mean MPG of Toyota Highlander Hybrid vehicles is equal to 28 miles per gallon.

Here are Barry Bonds's home-run totals, mostly for the San Francisco Giants, during the years 1991 - 2005:25, 34, 46, 37, 33, 42
elixir [45]

Answer:

Refer the attached figure.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given : Here are Barry Bonds's home-run totals, mostly for the San Francisco Giants, during the years 1991 - 2005

The data A={25, 34, 46, 37, 33, 42, 40, 37, 34, 49, 73, 46, 45, 45}

To find : Modified box plot for this distribution?

Solution :

Arranging the data from lowest to highest,

{25,33,34,34,37,37,40,42,45,45,46,46,49,73}

Find the median of the data

As the data is even numbers so the median is

M=\frac{40+42}{2}=\frac{82}{2}=41

Median = 41

For Box plot Graph,

q_1=Q(A,0)

q_1=25

q_2=Q(A,0.25)

q_2=34.75

q_3=Q(A,0.5)

q_3=41

q_4=Q(A,0.75)

q_4=45.75

q_5=Q(A,1)

q_5=73

Plotting the Box plot of the data.

Refer the attached figure below.

On a map, Cary drew a set of coordinate axes. He noticed that the town of Coyner is located at the point (3, 1) and Woottonville
sp2606 [1]

Answer:

The coordinates of the school should be at  (10.5 , 4.25)

Step-by-step explanation:

We are dealing with two points here on a plane. These are:

Town of Coyner,  Point A(3,1)

town of Coyner, Point B (18, 7.5)

in coordinate geometry, to get the mid point of two points we simply use the formula:

(\frac{x_{1}+x_{2}}{2}, \frac{y_{1}+y_{2}}{2})

where x and y are the first and second points respectively

applying this formula, we have that

the mid point of the two towns is

(\frac{3+18}{2}, \frac{1+7.5}{2})=(10.5 , 4.25)

Hence the coordinates of the school should be at  (10.5 , 4.25)

Clarissa's income puts her in the bottom tax bracket (10%) last year. During the same year, she earned $250 in dividends and $75
Art [367]

Answer:

75 in coupons.

250 in dividends.

profit of 600 - 425 = 175 from her stock investment.

her total income is 250 + 75 + 175 = 500.

if all of this is taxed at 10%, then her tax will be 500 * .1 = 50.

Andre hit 46 balls at practice. He hit no fewer than 20 less than double the number of hits Jason had. Which inequality represen
Nostrana [21]

Answer:

  2j -20 ≤ 46

Step-by-step explanation:

"20 less than double the number Jason [hit]" can be represented by 2j-20.

We are told that 46 is no fewer than this value, so it is greater than or equal to this value:

  46 ≥ 2j -20

  2j -20 ≤ 46 . . . . . swapping sides to match answer choices
