Answer:

D). The phrase “Handwashing is IN” means that it is in fashion for people to wash their hands.

Explanation:

'Bandwagon technique' is illustrated as a persuasive technique or propaganda that is employed by the author to convince the audience/reader by presenting an idea that is followed and propagated by the majority. This persuades them emotionally to accept and agree with the idea or claim proposed.

As per the question, the poster best demonstrates the use of 'bandwagon technique' by the use of phrase 'Hand-washing is IN' as the word 'IN' is mentioned in capital letters to symbolize that the majority follows the(given) idea and it has become 'a fashion for people to wash their hands'. Thus, option D is the correct answer.

Read this excerpt from Ani's evaluation of Dan DeLuca's argument in his article "Dylan's Nobel Prize Settles Debate: Rock Lyrics
Afina-wow [57]

Ani says that Dan Deluca wrote an article that contradicts his stance of the Nobel being well deserved at times, the two sentences of said article that show this kind of contradiction are:

Many of Dylan’s most fervently loved songs—some of which actually are love songs—date from the 1960s, and his being honored at age 75 can be seen as an ultimate affirmation for the baby boomer generation.

and

And it’s a good thing [his lyrics] have been published, because if you’ve gone to see the famously sneering and syllable-garbling Dylan play live in recent years, you probably couldn’t understand a word he was singing.

this is because they say that the Nobel might be a product of simple nostalgia and they undermine Dylan as an artist, plus these seem to not be quotes from detractors but something Dan DeLuca is saying himself

Consider how cultural diversity defines American society and literature. Is the American identity static or fluid over time? How
noname [10]

Answer:

The American society is composed of an ethnical mix, with members of many nations which blend into one unique American identity, while keeping their authenticity. This authenticity can be seen clearly in the cultural diversity. Just like any other identity, American is fluid over time. It changes and alters, in accordance with societal changes. Identities are not carved in stone. While we have every right to actively participate in the process of fashioning our identities, they still have a relative autonomy, and change over time. For example, if I am an Italian immigrant who lives in the U.S., I still have every right to claim my Italian cultural inheritance, but it doesn't make me less of an American. By living in America, I am adopting new cultural traits. My children will have their own perception of their cultural identity that doesn't have to be the same as mine.
