Answer: The three domains of life are Bacteria, Archaea, and Eukarya.

Carl Woese et al. in 1977 described these three domains of life under the biological classification. According to this classification, all the cellular life forms can be categorized into one of these three domains based upon their differences in the nucleotide sequences in the ribosomal RNAs (rRNA), lipid structure of the cell's membrane, and antibiotic sensitivity.

  • The Archaea- It is also called as  Archaebacteria. It is the oldest domain and constitutes the most primitive forms of bacteria. The organisms live in extreme environmental conditions. Example- Methanogens, which produce methane gas.
  • The Bacteria- It is also called as Eubacteria. Most of the pathogenic prokaryotic organisms come under this domain. Example- Spirochaetes which causes syphilis and Lyme disease.

Archaea and Bacteria are single-celled microorganisms which come under prokaryotes ( no well defined nucleus or cell organelles).

  • The Eukarya- It is also called as Eukaryotes ( well defined nucleus and cell organelles). It comprises organisms like Plants, animals, fungi, and protists.

Aloiza [94]

Answer:

The correct answer is - It has to act together with the nervous system mainly with other systems that assist in rock climbing.

Explanation:

Rock climbing is a physical activity or sport that could practice indoor or outdoor with mountains. It is a sport that requires physical and mental strength as it requires muscle strength, coordination, or balance, agility, endurance, and mental control over body and mind.

Muscular systems involve pulling the weight of an individual towards and leg muscles to hold whereas the nervous system controls or maintain the actions of muscles and also helps in balance the body of the climber. This neuromuscular set helps in maintains the muscle's tonicity in order to execute the action of climbing.

Other than these two main body systems there are cardiovascular system, circulatory system and respiratory system also helps in providing the conditions like increase oxygen input, high heartbeat, and more.

Nerve fibers from the olfactory bulb project directly to ________. nerve fibers from the olfactory bulb project directly to ____
ohaa [14]

The olfactory cortex (nucus) of the temporal lobe is where the nerve fibers of the olfactory bulb projects directly. This cortex is where you get the smell sensation before determining what the smell actually is. The olfactory cortex is located on the medial aspect of the temporal lobe, particularly in the uncus or the piriform lobe. It is also called the Rhinoencephalon or the nose brain.

Compare and contrast histosols and aridosols, the soils of bogs and peat marshes versus those of deserts and arid regions respec
Eva8 [605]

Answer:

1. Location: Histosols  are the soils which are found in the grasslands, swamps and marshes, whereas the aridosols are soils that are found in desert regions.

2. Color: Histosols are soils which are rich in organic matter therefore, are dark colored, whereas the aridosols are soils that lack organic matter, hence are light in color.

3. Water retention capacity: Histosols exhibit higher water retention capacity as compared to the aridosols.

4. Rate of decomposition: Rate of decomposition is higher in the histosols as compared to aridosols.

Explain why the vessels that transport water in trees must be very small in diameter.
kipiarov [429]

Answer:

The diameter of the xylem vessels should be small in order for the capillary action to take place.

Explanation:

The vessels through which water is transported to different parts of the plants and trees are the xylem. Water is transported in the trees through a mechanism named as capillary action. This mechanism can occur only if the diameter of the vessels are small.

The water molecules adhere to the walls of xylem and an upward force is generated. If the diameter of the vessels i.e xylem would be small then the surface tension between the xylem and water molecules would be enough to move the water in an upward direction.
