Let the age of Justin be x years .

And Pyton is three years younger than Justin, therefore Peyton age is

(x-3)years

And Matt is four times as old as Peyton, therefore Matt age is

4(x-3) years

And it is given that

x+x-3+4(x-3)=39

x+x-3+4x-12=39
\\
6x-15=39  \\
6x=54
\\
x =9 years

Therefore , Justin is 9 years old, Peyton is 6 years old and Matt is 24 years old .

Which expression is equivalent to mc003-1.jpg?
Nookie1986 [14]

Answer:

Option A is correct

The expression which is equivalent to (f\cdot g)(5) is f(5) \cdot g(5)

Step-by-step explanation:

Using the formula:

(f \cdot g)(x) = f(x) \cdot g(x)                  .....[1]

Given the expression:

(f\cdot g)(5)

Substitute the value of x = 5 in [1]

we get;

(f \cdot g)(5) = f(5) \cdot g(5)

Therefore, the expression which is equivalent to (f\cdot g)(5) is f(5) \cdot g(5)

Justin receives $15 and puts it into his savings account. He adds $0.25 to the account each day for a number of days, d, after t
MAVERICK [17]

Answer:

expression a

Step-by-step explanation:

The given expression is 15+0.25(d−1).

let suppose,

15 = a

0.25(d−1) = b

we get  a + b

It clearly indicates the given expression is sum of two entities, we can exclude  option b and option d.

Now we are left with option a and c, for that we have to evaluate the term b

b = 0.25(d−1) <u>that is the additional amount after d days</u>

Therefore, expression a is correct.
