Answer:

The percentage markup do the boutiques charge their customer is 150%

Step-by-step explanation:

Given as :

The price for hand woven scarves = $ 10

The price of selling by  boutiques to customers = $ 25

Let The markup percentage = x

So ,  markup percentage = \frac{selling price - cost price}{cost price} × 100

Here The value of selling price ( S.P ) = $ 25

And   The value of cost price  ( C .P ) = $ 10

So ,  x = \frac{S.P - C.P}{C.P} × 100

Or ,  x =  \frac{25 - 10}{10} × 100

Or,   x = \frac{15}{10} × 100

Or,   x = 1.5 × 100

∴    Markup = 150% of cost of sales

Hence The percentage markup do the boutiques charge their customer is 150%    Answer

A woman obtained a 2-year loan to cover the costs of a vacation. She was surprised to find that the simple annual interest rate
aleksley [76]

Answer:

  $2500

Step-by-step explanation:

The amount of simple interest is computed using the formula ...

  I = Prt

where P is the principal amount of the loan, r is the annual rate, and t is the number of years. Filling in the given information, we have ...

  425 = P·0.085·2

  P = 425/0.17 = 2500 . . . . divide by the coefficient of P

The original amount of the loan was $2500.

Find x and the measures of the indicated parts
frutty [35]
Given:

Two similar triangles AEB and ACD.

To solve for x, we can use ratio and proportion following the rule for similar triangles.

So,

AE / AD = AB / AC

Substitute values,

AE = AD - DE
AE = 6 - 5
AE = 1

1 / 6 = 2 / (2 + x + 4)

Solve for x

x = 6

then,

BC = x +4 = 6 + 4 = 10
AC = 2 + x + 4 = 12

Therefore, the measurements of the triangles are:

AE = 1
BC = 10
AC = 12

The area of Kamila’s rectangular living room is 2.5 times the area of her square bedroom. The length of the living room is 18 fe
Archy [21]
Let L be the length of one side of Kamila's bedroom (since her bedroom is square, the area would be L x L). Then the width of her living room is 1.25L. So:
18*1.25L=2.5(L)²
22.5L=2.5L²
L=22.5/2.5=9
Kamila's bedroom is 9'x9'; her living room is 11.25'x18'. ☺☺☺☺
