Answer:

First, you know that for every one Sulfide in the compound there are two silvers.  Now, you need to know the molecular weight of this compound which is 248 g/mol.  (The weight of silver is 108g.  multiply this by two to get the total weight of Ag in Ag2S, which is 216g, and add this to the weight of sulfur, which is 32, and you get 248g/mol).  Now you have to set up a proportion.

There are 216g of silver in 248g of Ag2S, how many grams of silver are there in 125g of Ag2S?

216g Ag / 248g Ag2S = x / 125 g Ag2S

x = 109g Ag.

Answer:

108.9g of Silver can be produced from 125g of Ag2S

Explanation:

The compound Ag2S shows that two atoms of Silver Ag, combined with an atom of Sulphur S to form Ag2S. We can as well say the combination ration of Silver to Sulphur is 2:1

•Now we need to calculate the molecular weight of this compound by summing up the molar masses of each element in the compound.

•Molar mass of Silver Ag= 107.9g/mol

•Molar mass of Sulphur S= 32g/mol

•Molecular weight of Ag2S= (2×107.9g/mol) + 32g/mol

•Molecular weight of Ag2S= 215.8g/mol + 32g/mol= 247.8g/mol

•From our calculations, we know that 215.8g/mol of Ag is present in 247.8g/mol of Ag2S

If 247.8g Ag2S produced 215.8g Ag

125g Ag2S will produce xg Ag

cross multiplying we have

xg= 215.8g × 125g / 247.8g

xg= 26975g/247.8

xg= 108.85g

Therefore, 108.9g of Silver can be produced from 125g of Ag2S

Naddik [55]
So the put a lot of words to make this seem more complicated than it is. Your first equation involves the money. I’m going to use x to represent tacos and y to represent burritos.
3x+7.25y=595 would be your first equation because you know the price of each item already just not how many. The second would involve the twice as many burritos sold than tacos. So that would mean x+2 would equal y
Y=x+2
Hope this helps. If not I can explain it more in detail.

One of the most important chemical reactions is the Haber process, in which N2 and H2 are converted to ammonia which is used in
Lera25 [3.4K]

Answer:

c) 22

Explanation:

Let's consider the following balanced equation.

N₂(g) + 3 H₂(g) ----> 2 NH₃(l)

According to the balanced equation, 34.0 g of NH₃ are produced by 1 mol of N₂. For 170 g of NH₃:

170gNH_{3}.\frac{1molN_{2}}{34.0gNH_{3}} =5.00molN_{2}

According to the balanced equation, 34.0 g of NH₃ are produced by 3 moles of H₂. For 170 g of NH₃:

170gNH_{3}.\frac{3molH_{2}}{34.0gNH_{3}} =15.0molH_{2}

The total gaseous moles before the reaction were 5.00 mol + 15.0 mol = 20.0 mol.

We can calculate the pressure (P) using the ideal gas equation.

P.V = n.R.T

where

V is the volume (50.0 L)

n is the number of moles (20.0 mol)

R is the ideal gas constant (0.08206atm.L/mol.K)

T is the absolute temperature (400.0 + 273.15 = 673.2K)

P=\frac{n.R.T}{V} =\frac{20.0mol\times (0.08206atm.L/mol.K)\times 673.2K ) }{50.0L} =22.0atm
