A gallon of gas costs:
- $4.00 if paid by card,
- $3.50 if paid by cash.
0.2  * 4.00 + 0.8 * 3.50 = 0.8 + 2.8 = $3.60
Answer:
The expected revenue for a gallon of gas is $3.60.

Answer: The expected revenue for a gallon of gas sold at this station is $3.60.

Step-by-step explanation:

Since we have given that

Percentage of people who pays by credit card = 20% =x_1= 0.2

Percentage of people who pays by cash = x_2= 80% = 0.8

Cost of a gallon of gas paid by card =p(x_1) = $4.00

Cost of a gallon of gas paid by cash = p(x_2)=$ 3.50

So, Expected revenue for a gallon of gas sold at this station is given by

E(x)=\sum xp(x)

so, it becomes,

E(x)=0.2\times 4+0.8\times 3.5\\\\E(x)=0.8+2.8\\\\E(x)=\$3.60

Hence, the expected revenue for a gallon of gas sold at this station is $3.60.

First of all you have to find the missing measurements. The actual measurements for the angles in the hexagon are not given, but they give you an expression. You have to solve for x first so that you can plug it in and find the angle measurement. You have to equal the two sides that are given to you like this: 20x+48=33x+9. You solve for x and then plug it into each angle measurement. This should give you 108. Since it is a regular hexagon all of the sides are equal. If you look at the angle at the top of the hexagon you'll see two triangles and the angle. Since it lies on a straight line, it is all equal to 180. You already have the angle measurement of the hexagon and are missing the triangles. So 180-108=72. 72 is the missing part of the angle. You divide this by 2 in order to find each triangle angle measurements. the answer is 36 degrees.

zavuch27 [327]
There are 15 students who take Latin, and 10 students who take both.
Therefore:
15+10 =25 total students taking Latin
25students / 50 total students = 1/2

The answer is 1/2.

Royce is folding a piece of paper to make an origami figure. Each time he folds the paper, the thickness of the paper is doubled
Alisiya [41]
The input value is the number of times you fold it. The input value is also known as the x-value.
The output value is its thickness. The output value is the y-value.

When you don't fold it all, the thickness will remain the same, which is 2. The ordered pair would be (0, 2).

When you fold it once, the thickness will double from 2 to 4. The ordered pair would be (1,4).

When you fold it a second time, the thickness will double from 4 to 8. The ordered pair would be (2,8).

Fold it one more time, and the thickness will be 16. The ordered pair is (3,16)

Fold it the fourth time, and the thickness doubles. 16 x 2 = 32 The ordered pair is (4, 32)

Fold it the fifth time, and the thickness goes from 32 to 64. The ordered pair is (5,64)

The ordered pairs would be:
(0,2)
(1,4)
(2,8)
(3,16)
(4,32)
(5,64)
(6,128)
(7,256)
and so on :P

The question asks for 6 ordered pairs, so I bolded the first six.

Now, the equation for this would be y = 2^{(x+1)}

If we graph that, and we do the vertical line test, then we know this is a function.

It is a function because each x-value has a different y-value. There are no y-values that have the same x-values.

<span>I have attached the graph of that line.</span>
