Cortisone is a steroid that is applied to the skin to reduce inflammation. Cortisone acts on cells within the dermis and can tra

Answer:

Cortisone is a steroid drug which is used to reduce the inflammation or swelling because it inhibits the release of those substance that cause inflammation and it also reduces the immune response.

The cells in the body have cell membrane which is made up of phospholipid. Membrane absorb those substance easily which are lipid-soluble. So as cortisone is steroid hormone which is lipid-soluble therefore it easily diffuses through the cell membranes and reaches the cells within the dermis.

Therefore the lipid solubility of cortisone allows it to travel through the epidermis of skin.

Total nucleic acids are extracted from a culture of yeast cells and are then mixed with resin beads to which the polynucleotide
mr Goodwill [35]

The question is incomplete as it does not have the options which are:

(a)DNA (b)tRNA (c)rRNA (d)mRNA

Answer:

Option-mRNA

Explanation:

The mRNA is synthesized from the DNA and which is also a type of nucleic acid. When the nucleic acid is extracted from the yeasts and then mixed with the resin beads to which the polynucleotide with thymine base oar is attached.

The mRNA will bind to the resin bead as the mRNA after synthesis undergoes modification and attaches poly A tail to the end of the mRNA at 3' end.

This poly-A tail has adenine which easily binds to the thymine and thus mRNA easily attaches to the resin bead.

Thus, mRNA is correct.

Why do three species have similarities and differences in their body structure, and how can Xiao use the structures to determine
Varvara68 [4.7K]

Answer:  Xiao can use these structures to create a similarity matrix that enables to differentiate between synapomorphies and homoplasies .

Explanation: A synapomorphy is a trait that has been inherited from the same ancestor, this trait enables to establish a relation of homology between two or more species; while a homoplasy is an analog structure that doesn't have homology.
