Answer:

It was in ancient Greece that scientific thought started to appear, especially from philosophy as a way of reflecting and placing a person in the world. It was also during this time, that a good system of scientific evidence was developed, bringing the beginning of science into the western world. It didn't mean the abandoning beliefs in myths and systems of religious belief, but the coexistence of the world of belief in myths, gods, and the world of reason.

Prior to scientific beliefs, most people based events on gods. Like how earthquakes were believed to be caused by restless gods or giant creatures beneath the Earth or were thought to be caused by Poseidon.

Greek scientists were mostly biologist, philosophers, mathematicians, etc. These scientists helped to produce civilization with science and philosophy. At first, Greek scientists started to observe phenomenons around them and then they started doing experiments to fully understand the phenomenon. That's how scientific thinking began.
