Health care is one of the most hotly debated issues in the United States today, and it's easy to see why. Approximately 50 milli

on people living in the United States either lack health insurance entirely or are inadequately covered. These people's health and financial security are at risk. My brother Bob knows all about this risk – his first child was born with a damaged heart. The cost of the treatment was so high that Bob had to declare bankruptcy. It seems so obvious that health care should be available to all, regardless of their ability to pay. It's just common sense. What type of evidence is shown through each quotation? "Approximately 50 million people living in the United States either lack health insurance entirely or are inadequately covered." "My brother Bob knows all about this risk."

PART A: What are TWO themes developed in “The Glittering Noise”?
Rudiy27

The correct answers are B and E. The two themes developed in "The Glittering Noise" are that the past can be an escape from the present, since the author says that she could be happy by reading old diaries, that is, remembering old times; and that in every era, people experience sorrow and joy, as she experiences both feelings when remembering events from the past.

Read this excerpt from Kennedy's address to the nation on June 11, 1963, and answer the question. We are confronted primarily wi
kolezko [41]
President Kenny explicitly stated that African Americans deserve the full rights of a Untied States Citizen. One main example can be the last sentence in the excerpt,"Now the time has come for this nation to fulfill its promise." To simplify, Kenndy is referring to Americans promise for all men to be created equal. Therefore the explicit meaning of this address is for African Americans to receive all of the right they deserve.

Study the poster showing characters from the movie Star Wars and created by the US Department of Health, Education, and Welfare
svetlana [45]

Answer:

The answer is "The photograph shows fictional film characters, used to 'sell' immunization."

Explanation:

A testimonial is one of the most common and effective advertising techniques. You may notice that the products you've been using are endorsed by either famous celebrities or satisfied customers, giving their feedback about the product. In other cases, some promotional ads use experts' opinions about the product. These are examples of testimonials.

In this case, the US Department of Health, Education, and Welfare use Star Wars' characters to sell the idea of immunization.

In 1977, the first installment of Star Wars was released, and it was a certified box office. The irony illustrates that the two characters were not human beings, but they're warning humans regarding immunization. It may sound funny, but people bought it. And it's because of the characters in the poster.

R2D2 and C3P0 were the characters used in the poster who played supporting but remarkable roles in the movie franchise. The creators of the poster took advantage of how famous these two were and cited as likeable sources since many people loved them.
