Answer:

Dr. Siddiqui asks you what you think is wrong with Angela. What is your diagnosis? (Note: do not simplysay hyper- or hypothyroidism; that portion of the question was already answered above. Explain in detailwhy/how you came up with the diagnosis. Include the evidence that led you to this diagnosis.

Judging from Angela’s results, she has Serum thyroxine, Thyrotropin, and SerumTriiodothyronine hormones to be missing. This will cause Hypothyroidism results due to failure of the thyroid gland to produce sufficient hormones.

Angela does not have a goiter at the moment. If her condition continues unchecked will she develop one?Why or why not? Make sure you include information from Angela’s blood work results to back up yourresponse.

Technically, a goiter can develop in a gland that is developing high level of hormone (hyperthyroidism), and low level of hormone (hypothyroidism), or the certain amount of hormone (euthyroidism) needed.

In Angela’s situation, her TSH concentration and thyroid hormones are at a reduced level. This will cause, the pituitary gland in the brain to produce a signal to the thyroid. Thus, her condition should be well observed all through the period till her conditions return to the way it ought to be normally.

What was the narrator referring when he said that the flood risk to Tokyo sounded like something out of a disaster movie?
umka2103 [35]

Answer: A flood could hit Tokyo so quickly that the levee could break. In a short amount of time, this breach, or break, could cause severe damage to Tokyo’s infrastructure, like a flood in a Hollywood disaster movie. Because Tokyo is home to a large population, a flood could cause massive damage to homes, businesses, and life.

Explanation: Because the floods happened recently there.

When a neuron fires and its electric charge travels down the axon, causing neurotransmitters to be released by the neuron's term
marta [7]

Answer:

When a neuron fires and its electric charge travels down the axon, causing neurotransmitters to be released by the neuron's terminal buttons, an action potential occurs.

Explanation:

An action potential, commonly termed as impulse, can be described as messages which are transferred in electrical form. Action potential are caused due to different electric charges. An action potential is generated by a stimulus which causes transfer of sodium ions into the axons resulting in depolarization of the neuron. To overcome this, potassium ion will enter the cell and an action potential will be generated.

The action potential causes release of the neurotransmitters so that signal messages could be transferred.
