Southeastern Oklahoma State University's business program has the facilities and faculty to handle an enrollment of 2,200 new s

tudents per semester. However, in an effort to limit class sizes to a "reasonable" level (under 200, generally), Southeastern's dean, Holly Lutze, placed a ceiling on enrollment of 1,600 new students. Although there was ample demand for business courses last semester, conflicting schedules allowed only 1,420 new students to take business courses.

Answer:

a. 0.7273 or 72.73%

b. 0.8875 or 88.75%

Explanation:

a. Utilization rate is the ratio of the amount of installed capacity planned to be used relative to the total installed capacity. This can be stated as follows:

Utilization rate = ICP ÷ TC ......................................... (1)

ICP = Amount of installed capacity planned to be used

TC = Total installed capacity

From the question, ICP = 1,600 while TC = 2,200. Substituting this into equation (1), we have:

Utilization rate = 1,600 ÷ 2,200 = 0.7273 or 72.73%

Therefore, utilization rate is 0.7273 or 72.73%.

b. Efficiency rate is the ratio of the actual installed capacity used relative to the amount of installed capacity planned to be used. This can be stated as follows:

Efficiency rate = AIC ÷ ICP ......................................... (1)

AIC = Actual installed capacity used

ICP = Amount of installed capacity planned to be used

From the question, ICP = 1,420 while TC = 1,600. Substituting this into equation (1), we have:

Efficiency rate = 1,420 ÷ 1,600 = 0.8875 or 88.75%

Therefore, efficiency rate is 0.8875 or 88.75% .

When people feel that their job is not challenging enough, overtime they will feel that their activities become stale and boring. This will lead to the situation where they become unmotivated to even to come to work.

Having enough challenge at your work will keep you curious.

Like Paul, your work will make you feel excited and strive to prove yourself. This will make you constantly try to adapt to new things and keep improvising your craft.

Explanation:

Giving the following information:

McClary Tires plans to save $20,000, $25,000, $27,500, and $30,000 at the end of each year for Years 1 to 4, respectively.

The discount rate is 3.3%.

To calculate the future value, we need to use the following formula for each cash flow:

FV= PV*(1+i)^n

Cf1= 20,000*1.033^3= 22,046.06

Cf2= 25,000*1.033^2= 26,677.23

Cf3= 27,500*1.033= 28,407.5

Cf4= 30,000

Risk management is a systematic process, and the correct order of the steps is:
zvonat [6]

Risk management is a systematic process where its objectives are to identify, to assess, and to control risks. These risks arise from operational factors and making decisions that maintains the balance between risk costs with the mission benefits. The correct steps are the following: First, the risk must be identified. This means that the team must first uncover, recognize and describe the risks that might possibly affect the project or its outcomes. Second, the risk will then be analyzed. It is in this step that the team must consider the consequences of each risk according to the nature of the risk. The potential to affect project goals will also be identified. Third, evaluation and ranking of risks will take place. The magnitude of the risks will be part in the decision-making whether they are acceptable or whether they are serious enough to warrant treatment. Fourth, the risk must be treated. This is also known as the Risk Response Planning. The highest ranked risks must be identified and plans must be made to treat or modify these so that the desirable risk levels will be attained. Lastly, the risks shall then be monitored and reviewed. In this way, all the uncertainties, unpleasant surprises and barriers will be fully monitored and if the team is determined, golden opportunities will instead be achieved.
