Hello there,

In order to solve this you are going to add 12 and 4/5 yards three times.

First we change 12 and 4/5 into an improper number:

  • 64/5 is the mixed number for 12 and 4/5

Now we take 64/5 and add it three times or simply multiply by 3:

  • 192/5 is what you get when you add it three times

Now we change 192/5 into a mixed number:

  • 38 and 2/5

The quarterback threw in all 38 and 2/5 yards altogether.

Hope I helped,

Amna

Answer:

38.4 or 38 2/5

Step-by-step explanation:

He threw 12 4/5 yards for each of his three passes, so you would need to multiply 12 4/5 by 3.

12 4/5 x 3 = 38.4

You can also simplify the decimal into a fraction.

38.4 = 38 4/10 = 38 2/5.

A 16.0-inch chord is drawn in a circle whose radius is 10.0 inches. what is the angular size of the minor arc of this chord? wha
statuscvo [17]
PART I
Angular size of the minor arc .
Half of the chord an the radius makes a right angled triangle with the radius as the hypotenuse and half of the chord as one of the shorter side.
Therefore, using trigonometric ratio, sine = opp/hyp
                          sine θ = 8/10  where θ is half the minor angle
                                  θ  = 53.13
Therefore, the angular size of the minor arc will be 53.13 × 2  = 106.26°

PART II
The length of an arc is given by (θ/360 )× 2πr
where θ is the angle subtended by the arc to the center of the circle and r is the radius of the circle.
Therefore, length = (106.26/360) × 3.142 × 2×10
                            = 18.548 Inches

Jade farm has 9 chickens,each of which laid 3 eggs. Jases farm has 4 horses. ednas farm has chickens which laid a total of 23 eg
Tomtit [17]

The answer is that Jade's chickens laid more eggs. Since Jade's farm includes 9 chickens, which each laid 3 eggs, multiply 9 and 3 and you get 27. Edna's farm has chickens which, in total, laid 23 eggs, leading to Jade's chickens with 27 eggs to be more than the eggs laid by Edna's chickens. :)

The net of a triangular prism is shown below. What is the surface area of the prism? A. 128 cm^2 B. 152 cm^2 C. 176 cm^2 D. 304
shtirl [24]

Answer:

B. 152 cm²

Step-by-step explanation:

To find the surface area using a net, do this:

Take apart the figure. We see that there are three rectangles and two triangles. Find the area of each (A=l*w) and then add the values together:

The first rectangle on the left is the same as the one on the right.

5*8=40

Two measures are 40 cm².

The middle rectangle is:

6*8=48

48 cm²

The formula for the area of a triangle is A=\frac{1}{2}*b*h:

A=\frac{1}{2}*6*4\\\\A=\frac{1*6*4}{2}\\\\A=\frac{24}{2}\\\\ A=12

The area of the two triangles is 12 cm².

Now add the values:

40+40+48+12+12=152

The area of the figure is 152 cm².
