Answer:

At equilibrium, solid iodine sublimes to give purple-coloured iodine vapour, which also condenses back to the solid iodine.

Explanation:

Sublimation is the process by which a solid changes state directly from the solid state to a gaseous state without going through the liquid state. Solid iodine is one of such solids that undergo sublimation.

  At equilibrium, I₂ (solid) ⇔ I₂(gaseous)

From the question,

As heat is gradually applied to the sealed container, solid iodine begins to sublime and the purple-coloured vapour of iodine is observed.

As the heating continues, the intensity of the purple colour intensifies as more of the solid iodine undergoes sublimation.

At equilibrium however, it is observed that the intensity of the purple coloured iodine vapour remains the same.

This is so because at equilibrium, solid iodine sublimes to give purple-coloured iodine vapour, which also condenses back to the solid state

The answer:
The equation of its dissolution in water is: AgNO3 → Ag + (aq) + NO3- (aq)

and     AgNO3 →   Ag + (aq)  +  NO3- (aq)
          1 mol          1mol                1mol

so for finding the value, it is sufficients to complute 1 x 0.854 mol =0.854 mol
so, 0.854 mol is required for the reaction to form 0.854 mol of Ag

Identify the compounds below as a brønsted-lowry acid or lewis acid by clicking and dragging it into the correct column
Vesna [10]
There are many types of acid or bases. Based on the Bronsted-Lowry definition,

* A Bronsted-Lowry acid is a proton donor
* A Bronsted-Lowry base is a proton acceptor

Take this reaction for example:
HCl(aq)+ NH₃(aq)→NH⁴⁺(aq)+Cl⁻(aq)

HCl donates a proton, so it is a Bronsted-Lowry acid. Consequently, ammonia accepts this proton, so it is the Bronsted-Lowry base.

Why are the trends and exceptions to the trends in ionization energy observed? Check all that apply. Ionization energy tends to
NNADVOKAT [17]
The trends and exceptions to the trends in ionization energy observed includes;
B, ionization energy tends to increase across a period because the nuclear charge increases.
C, ionization energy tends to increase across a period because electrons are added to the same main energy level.
E, The ionization energies of elements in Group 13 tend to be lower than the elements in Group 2 because the full s orbital shields the electron, in the p orbital from the nucleus.
Ionization energies measure the tendency of a neutral atom to resist the loss of electrons. It takes a considerable amount of energy, for example to remove an electron from a neutral fluorine atom to form a positively charged ion.

A gram of gasoline produces 45.0kj of energy when burned. gasoline has a density of 0.77/gml . how would you calculate the amoun
babymother [125]
Given that there is 48 liters of gasoline to be burned and that 45 kJ of energy is released per gram of gasoline burned, the amount of energy that the gasoline fuel produces can then be calculated, First, we convert 48 liters of gasoline to units of mass (grams) in order to use the given conversion of 45 kJ per gram of gasoline. To do this, we use the density of gasoline which is 0.77 g/mL. The following expression is then used:

48 L gasoline x 1000 mL/L x 0.77 g/mL x 45 kJ/g gasoline = 1663200 kJ

The amount of energy produced by burning 48 L of gasoline was then determined to be 1663200 kJ.

Some versions of the periodic table show hydrogen at the top of Group 1A(1) and at the top of Group 7A(17). What properties of h
lawyer [7]

Answer:Hydrogen is placed such because it exhibits some similar characteristics of both group1 and group VII elements.

Explanation:

The reason why hydrogen is similar to group 1 metals:

#It has same valence electron and inorder achieve octet state it can lose that electron and forms H+ ion

#It acts as a good reducing agent similar to group1 metals

#It can also halides

Similarity to halogens:

#hydrogen can also gain one electron to gain noble gas configuration. It can combine with other non metals to form molecules with covalent bonding.

#It exists as diatomin molecule,H2

#Have the same electronegativity nature

#its reaction with other metal
