2 groups of 10 tiles and 2 groups of 3 tiles. Which explains whether or not this model accurately shows 26 ÷ 2? It does because

26 = 20 + 6, and the model shows 2 groups of 10 and 2 groups of 3. It does because 26 = 20 + 6, and the model shows 2 groups of 10 and 2 groups of 6. It does not because 26 = 20 + 6, and the model should show 1 group of 26 and one group of 2. It does not because 26 = 20 + 6, and the model should show 2 groups of 20 and 2 groups of 6.

Answer:

It does because 26 = 20 + 6, and the model shows 2 groups of 10 and 2 groups of 3.

Step-by-step explanation:

Two groups of 10 make 20. Two groups of 3 make 6.

20 + 6 = 26

B is wrong. The model does not show two groups of 6.

C is wrong. The model should show one group of 6..

D is wrong. The model should show two groups of 10 and one group of 6.

∠ABC and ∠DBC are complementary angles. If m∠ABC=6x+13 and m∠DBC=4x−3 what is the value of x?
egoroff_w [7]

Answer:

x=8

Step-by-step explanation:

Complementary angles are equal to 90 degrees.

angle ABC + angle DBC = 90

6x+13+4x-3=90

Combine like terms

6x+4x+13-3=90

10x+10=90

get x alone by subtracting 10 on both sides

10x=80

divide 10 on both sides

x=8

marta [7]

Given choices:

(1) division property of equality

(2) factoring the binomial

(3)completing the square

(4)subtraction property of equality

Answer : (2) factoring the binomial

Step 1: -c = ax^2 + bx

Step 2:-c = a[x^2+\frac{b}{a} x]

In step 2, 'a' is taken out from ax^2 + bx. when we take out 'a' we divide each term by 'a'. so it becomes a[x^2+\frac{b}{a} x]

'a' is factored out in step 2. we call it as factoring a binomial.

A dairy sells $3 and $5 ice creams. In one day they sell 50 ice creams earning a total of $180. How many of each type of ice cre
murzikaleks [220]
We are going to make simultaneous equations.
x will be our $3 ice cream and y will be our $5 ice cream

Equation1 ----            x + y = 50   (the sum of all the ice creams they sell)
Equation 2 ----          3x + 5y = 180  Sum of all the $3 and $5 ice creams is $180
Since we can't solve for both variables we will put one of the variables in terms of the other.
Take x+y=50 and subtract y from both sides. (I could have done subtracted x - it did not matter). Now we have x= ₋ y +50 (negative y +50)
Now I am going to take equation 2 and replace the x with -y +50

3 (-y +50) + 5y = 180
Now I will use the distributive law on the 3 and what's in the parentheses:
-3y + 150 + 5y = 180
Now I will combine like terms (the -3y and the 5y)
2y + 150 = 180
Now subtract 150 from both sides of the equation
2y = 30
Divide both sides by 2
and get y= 15 They sold 15 ice creams that cost $5 each
Since equation 1 is x+y=50 we can replace y with 15
x + 15 = 50    Now subtract 15 from both sides  x = 35
Since x represents the $3 ice creams, they sold 35 of those.
Check:
35 X 3 = $105
15 x 5  = +  75
               $180

Drag the tiles to the correct boxes to complete the pairs. Not all tiles will be used. Match each equation with the operation yo
Tanzania [10]

The quadratic equations and their solutions are;

9 ± √33 /4 = 2x² - 9x + 6.

4 ± √6 /2 = 2x² - 8x + 5.

9 ± √89 /4 = 2x² - 9x - 1.

4 ± √22 /2 = 2x² - 8x - 3.

Explanation:

Any quadratic equation of the form, ax² + bx + c = 0 can be solved using the formula x = -b ± √b² - 4ac / 2a. Here a, b, and c are the coefficients of the x², x, and the numeric term respectively.

We have to solve all of the five equations to be able to match the equations with their solutions.

2x² - 8x + 5, here a = 2, b = -8, c = 5.                                                  x = -b ± √b² - 4ac / 2a = -(-8) ± √(-8)² - 4(2)(5) / 2(2) = 8 ± √64 - 40/4.     24 can also be written as 4 × 6 and √4 = 2. So                                                                                     x = 8 ± 2√6 / 2×2= 4±√6/2.

2x² - 10x + 3, here a = 2, b = -10, c = 3.                                                   x =-b ± √b² - 4ac / 2a =-(-10) ± √(-10)² - 4(2)(3) / 2(4) = 10 ± √100 + 24/4. 124 can also be written as 4 × 31 and √4 = 2. So                                                                              x = 10 ± 2√31 / 2×2 = 5 ± √31 /2.

2x² - 8x - 3, here a = 2, b = -8, c = -3.                                                    x = -b ± √b² - 4ac / 2a = -(-8) ± √(-8)² - 4(2)(-3) / 2(2) = 8 ± √64 + 24/4.     88 can also be written as 4 × 22 and √4 = 2. So                                                                             x = 8 ± 2√22 / 2×2 = 4± √22/2.

2x² - 9x - 1, here a = 2, b = -9, c = -1.                                                     x = -b ± √b² - 4ac / 2a = -(-9) ± √(-9)² - 4(2)(-1) / 2(2) = 9 ± √81 + 8/4.                                          x = 9 ± √89 / 4.

2x² - 9x + 6, here a = 2, b = -9, c = 6.                                                    x = -b ± √b² - 4ac / 2a = -(-9) ± √(-9)² - 4(2)(6) / 2(2) = 9 ± √81 - 48/4.                                                                             x = 9 ± √33 / 4

To match we solve the monomials.

1. -15u^3 + 5u^3

Adding

-15u^3 + 5u^3=-10u^3

2.  10u^3 +(-5u^3)

Adding

10u^3-5u^3=5u^3

3. 10u^3 + 5u^3

Adding

10u^3 + 5u^3=15u^3

4.  5u^3+ (-10u^3)

Adding

5u^3-10u^3 =-5u^3
