A jeweler had a fixed amount of gold to make bracelets and necklaces. The amount of gold in each bracelet is 6 grams and the amo

unt of gold in each necklace is 16 grams. The jeweler used 178 grams of gold and made 7 more necklaces than bracelets. Write a system of equations that could be used to determine the number of bracelets made and the number of necklaces made. Define the variables that you use to write the system.

Let x represent number of bracelets and y represent number of necklaces.

We have been given that a jeweler made 7 more necklaces than bracelets. This means that number of necklaces will be x+7. We can represent this information in an equation as:

y=x+7...(1)

We have been given that the amount of gold in each bracelet is 6 grams, so amount used for x bracelets would be 6x grams.

We are also told that the amount of gold in each necklace is 16 grams, so amount used for y necklaces would be 16y grams.

Since the jeweler used 178 grams of gold, so we will equate the amount of gold used in x bracelets and y necklaces with 178 as:

6x+16y=178...(2)

Therefore, our required system of equations would be:

y=x+7...(1)

6x+16y=178...(2)

Work the following problems using the table. Choose the correct answer.
kakasveta [241]

Answer:

option 3

$46.02

Step-by-step explanation:

First we have to look at the value of the French francs with respect to the dollars, we will look at the option of Wednesday which is how the problem asks.

if we see in the table it tells us that every 1 french franc gives us 0.2301 dollars

Now if we have 200 French francs, how many dollars will they give us?

1 = 0.2301

200 = ?

200 * 0.2301 / 1 =

46.02

The sum of the interior angles of a polygon is
Crank

Answer:

D) 15

Step-by-step explanation:

The sum of the interior angles of a polygon is given by

(n - 2) \times 180

We have that, the sum of the interior angles of a polygon is

26 right angles. We want to find n, the number of sides.

We substitute into the formula to get:

(n - 2) \times 180 = 26 \times 90

Divide through by 90

2(n - 2) = 26

Divide through by 2

n - 2 = 13

n = 13 + 2

n = 15

Lines K and L are parallel,and the measure of angle ABC is 19 degrees
Scorpion4ik [409]

Answer:

A. Because the measure of the angle BCD is 19 \° and the angles BCD and ECF are Vertical angles. Therefore, they are congruent ( m\angle BCD=m\angle ECF =19\°)

B.  m\angle BCD=19\°

Step-by-step explanation:

The missing figure is attached.

You can observe in the figure that the parallel lines k and l are intersected by a another line m (this is a transversal).

Let's begin with PART B:

Observe that the angles ABC and BCD are located inside the parallel lines and they alternate sides of the transversal. Therefore, we can determine that these angles are "Alternate Interior Angles".

Since the lines k and l are parallel, we know that the Alternate Interior Angles are congruent. Then:

m\angle ABC=m\angle BCD=19\°

Now we can solve the PART A.

Observe the figure.

Since the angle BCD and the angle ECF share the same vertex, they are "Vertical angles" and, therefore, they are congruent:

m\angle BCD=m\angle ECF =19\°

Parallelogram A B C D is shown. Sides A B and D C are parallel. The length of A B is 4 q minus 8 and the length of D C is q + 4.
worty [1.4K]

Answer:

q = 4

Step-by-step explanation:

4q - 8 = q + 4

3q - 8 = 4

3q = 12

q = 4

Ellie buys a mobile phone in spain for €352.50. Her brother jack buys an identical phone from japan for ¥39856. Using exchange r
Nonamiya [84]

Answer:

The answer to your question is: Japan

Step-by-step explanation:

Mobile cost in Spain = € 352.5

Mobile cost in Japan = ¥39856

Exchange rate = £1 = €1.41

                           £1 = ¥188

Cost of mobile in pounds

                       £ 1 ------------------ € 1.41

                        x  -----------------   €352.5

                       x = (352.5 x 1) / 1.41

                       x= £250

                      £1   ------------------  ¥188

                      x    ----------------- -¥ 39856

                     x = (39856 x 1) / 188

                     x = £212

Then, it was cheaper in Japan
