Tina is bored, very bored. She has decided there is no time like the present to take up a new hobby, paper football creation and

flight. She finds some construction paper and is ready to begin. Her goal is to be able to launch a paper football that will land directly in front of her dog in the hopes that she can film its surprised reaction for TikTok.
Being a top algebra student, she models the height h(x), above the ground with the equation,h(x)=-x^2+10x-16, where x is the number of seconds since Tina hits record on her phone.

How many seconds would it take Tina to launch the football after she begins recording?

lapo4ka [179]

The table of this question is in the attachments.

Answer and Step-by-step explanation: <u>Standard</u> <u>deviation</u> is a measure of how spread the data is from the mean. It is calculated as:

s = √∑(x - μ)² / n - 1

where μ is the mean of the set.

<u>Range</u> is the difference between the highest and lowest value of a data set.

(a) <u>Range of Traditional course</u>:

range = 80.4 - 56

range = 24.4

<u>Range of "flipped" course</u>:

range = 92.6 - 63.5

range = 29.1

Comparing ranges, the "flipped" course has more dispersion than the traditional.

(b) <u>Standard Deviation of Traditional course</u>:

mean = 71.6

s = \sqrt{\frac{(70.3 - 71.6)^{2}+...+(59.1-71.6)^{2}}{13-1}

s = 8.95

<u>Standard Deviation of "flipped" course</u>:

mean = 77.6

s = \sqrt{\frac{(75.5 - 77.6)^{2}+...+(76.9-77.6)^{2}}{13-1}

s = 8.3

Comparing standard deviation, traditional course has more dispersion.

(c) If you change one score, range for traditional will be:

range = 591 - 56

range = 535

Changing one score increase in almost 22 times the range for this category.

Dario increased his savings from $350 to $413. While Monica increased her savings from $225 to $270. Who had a higher percent of
Anettt [7]
The percentage in increase can be calculated as follows:
% of increase = (difference between new and old amounts / old value) *100

For Dario:
difference in values = 413 - 350 = 63
% of increase = (63/350)*100 = 18%

For Monica:
difference in values = 270 - 225 = 45
% of increase = 20%

Therefore,
Monica has higher percent of increase.
The difference in percents = 20% - 18% = 2%

What is the domain of the given function? <br> {(3,-2), (6, 1), (-1,4), (5,9), (-4,0)}
grandymaker [24]

Answer:

D = { -4,-1,3,5,6}

Step-by-step explanation:

The domain is the x values  or the inputs

D = { 3,6,-1,5,-4}

We normally put them in order from smallest to largest

D = { -4,-1,3,5,6}

Triangle J K L is shown. Angle K L J is a right angle. The length of hypotenuse K J is 10.9 centimeters and the length of L J is
scZoUnD [109]

Answer:

sin−1(StartFraction 8.9 Over 10.9 EndFraction) = x

Step-by-step explanation:

From the given triangle JKL;

Hypotenuse KJ = 10.9

Length LJ is the opposite = 8.9cm

The angle LKJ is the angle opposite to side KJ = x

Using the SOH CAH TOA Identity;

sin theta = opp/hyp

sin LKJ = LJ/KJ

Sinx = 8.9/10.9

x = arcsin(8.9/10.9)

sin−1(StartFraction 8.9 Over 10.9 EndFraction) = x

<span>In the question "Harriet earns the same amount of money each day. Her gross pay at the end of 7 work days is 35h + 56 dollars. Which expression represents her gross pay each day" To obtain the expression that represents her gross pay each day, we divide the given expression by 7 to get (35h + 56) / 7 = 35h / 7 + 56 / 7 = 5h + 8 Therefore, the expression that represents her gross pay each day is 5h + 8.</span>
