Answer and Explanation:

According to the scenario, computation of the given data are as follow:-

a).

Number Of Payroll Checks       Residential Government Contract  Commercial Total

Weekly Payroll 52 × 400 = 20,800 52 × 150=7,800 52 × 250 = 13,000 41,600

Monthly Payroll 12 × 80 = $960 12 × 10 =120 12 × 30=360 1,440

Total                           21,760       7,920 13,360       43,040

Number of Purchase Requisitions Per Year 7,500 2,000 3,000 12,500

Weekly Payroll = Weeks Per Year × Payroll Per Week

Monthly Payroll = Months Per Year × Payroll Per Month

b).Charge Rate of Service Department:-

Purchasing Department

= Purchasing Department Expenses ÷  Number of Purchase Requisitions Per Year

=  ($40,000 ÷ 12,500)

= $3.2 Per Purchase Requisition

Payroll Department

= Payroll Department Expenses ÷ Total  No. of Payroll Checks

= ($64,560 ÷ 43,040)

= $1.5 Per Payroll Check

Service Department Charges:-

Payroll Department ($) Purchasing Department ($) Total ($)

Residential  1.5 × 21,760 = 32,640 3.2 × 7,500 = 24,000 56,640

Commercial 1.5 × 13,360 = 20,040 3.2 × 3,000 = 9,600 29,640

Government Contract 1.5 × 7,920 = 11,880 3.2 × 2,000 = 6,400 18,280

Total                                64,560 40,000 104,560

c) Residential service department pays more than the other two divisions because residential service department is a strong user of services. Residential has some weekly payroll employees which convert into a large number of payroll transactions.

Cash received from a customer on account was debited for $570, and accounts receivable was credited for the same amount. The act
Gekata [30.6K]

Since amount received was $750.2, and amount recorded is only $570, The difference of $180.2 needs to be recorded as it was short recorded earlier. Entry for below is:

                            Cash..................................DR        $180.2

                                 To Accounts Receivable...........................  $180.2

Since a computer printer is an equipment it needed to be debited in Equipments, but instead it was debited to supplies, Thus the correcting Entry for the same would be:

                            Equipment..........................DR     $841

                              To Supplies.................................................$841

The entry passed is wrong as sales was credited wrongly thus sales needs to be credited further by $801, Its absurd that the entry was not balanced, Thus the accountant will require to go to sales ledger and correct the amount.

Since Telephone charges were wrongly debited to office expenses, office expenses will be credited and Telephone expenses will be debited by the same amount

                                     Telephone Expenses..................DR    $406

                                         To office Expenses...................................... $406

Unearned Services Revenue, will need to be debited so that income earned will be credit accordingly.

                                         Unearned Service Revenue...............DR $666

                                                To Service Revenue.........................................$666

Since debit to wages and salary was omitted thus a debit of $1011 needs to be made in Wages and Salary Ledger.

Since accounts payable was over credited by $54 it needs to be reduced by $54 in the respective ledger.

How well acquainted with a sport would a publicist need to be in order to do his or her job effectively?
Mrac [35]

Answer:

at the very least, understand the basics of the sport in question

Explanation:

A publicist is an individual who generates and manages publicity for a company, a brand, or a public figure. If the publicist works for a sports company/magazine they need to, at the very least, understand the basics of the sport in question such as the rules, basic terminology used, player names/states, etc. This is because they need to write articles that make sense, and since the audience reading them will be very well versed in the sport, then the information provided needs to be accurate.
