The technical advancements in the production of the microscopes has enabled scientists that study the cells to observe more and more complex features of the cell.

When the cell was first observed in the 17th century, the scientist studying it, Antoan vaan Lewenhuk could only see the shape and the outline of the cell.

With further advancements in the magnifying power and clarity of the microscopes scientists can now observe more than just the outline of the cell. They can observe the differences between different cell types, the miniature parts of the cells, organelles and even observe cell processes like meiosis in real time. Without the modern microscopy technology that would be impossible and our of the cell will be very limited.

Which of the following sets of materials is required by both eukaryotes and prokaryotes for replication? Group of answer choices
erastova [34]

Answer:

Double-stranded DNA.

Explanation:

Replication may be defined as the process of formation of the daughter DNA from the parent DNA with the help of enzymes and proteins. The three main process of replication are inititation , elongation and termination.

The double stranded DNA molecule undergoes the process of replication. Four different dNTPs - adenine, guanine, thymine and cytosine are required for the process of replication.  Primers are required for initiation of the process of replication and ori region is the inititaion point of replication.

Thus, the correct answer is option (a).

Since broth cultures of bacteria can reach high numbers of cells quickly, a series of answer experiments (one word) is required
nexus9112 [7]

The answer is Dilutions

Bacterial culture is one of the laboratory examination that could be used to determine if a specimen contain bacteria. But it will hard to count the colony if the bacteria count is too high.

That is why the specimen of the culture need to be diluted to reduce the bacteria count of the specimen, so the result will be easier to count. The unit used would be colony forming unit(CFU) per milliliter.

when lions pick off the slowest members of the herd they are hunting why is it beneficial to the group as a whole?
pav-90 [236]
If lions attack the slowest animal in a herd, it is beneficial to the herd in the following ways:

1.) Evolutionarily, the faster herd members survive and breed, increasing the speed of the offspring and guaranteeing better survival for the future population.
2.) The lions focus on the straggling animal, allowing the rest of the herd to escape.
3.) The death of one herd member ensures the survival of many more.
