Answer : The correct statements are,

AC = 5 cm

BA = 4 cm

The perimeter of triangle ABC is 12 cm.

Step-by-step explanation :

As we know that a, b, and c are midpoints of the sides of right triangle that means midpoint divide the side in equal parts.

Now we have to calculate the sides of triangle ABC by using Pythagoras theorem.

Using Pythagoras theorem in ΔACF :

(AC)^2=(FA)^2+(CF)^2

Now put all the values in the above expression, we get the value of side AC.

(AC)^2=(3)^2+(4)^2

AC=\sqrt{(9)^2+(16)^2}

AC=5cm

Using Pythagoras theorem in ΔDAB :

(Hypotenuse)^2=(Perpendicular)^2+(Base)^2

(BD)^2=(AD)^2+(BA)^2

Now put all the values in the above expression, we get the value of side BA.

(5)^2=(3)^2+(BA)^2

BA=\sqrt{(5)^2-(3)^2}

BA=4cm

Using Pythagoras theorem in ΔBEC :

(Hypotenuse)^2=(Perpendicular)^2+(Base)^2

(BE)^2=(CE)^2+(CB)^2

Now put all the values in the above expression, we get the value of side CB.

(5)^2=(4)^2+(CB)^2

CB=\sqrt{(5)^2-(4)^2}

CB=3cm

Now we have to calculate the perimeter of ΔABC.

Perimeter of ΔABC = Side AB + Side CB+ Side AC

Perimeter of ΔABC = 4 + 3 + 5

Perimeter of ΔABC = 12 cm

Now we have to calculate the area of ΔABC.

Area of ΔABC = \frac{1}{2}\times 4\times 3=6cm^2

Now we have to calculate the area of ΔDEF.

Area of ΔDEF = \frac{1}{2}\times 8\times 6=24cm^2

Area of ΔABC = \frac{6}{24}\times Area of ΔDEF

Area of ΔABC = \frac{1}{4} Area of ΔDEF

Triangle J K L is shown. Angle K L J is a right angle. The length of hypotenuse K J is 10.9 centimeters and the length of L J is
scZoUnD [109]

Answer:

sin−1(StartFraction 8.9 Over 10.9 EndFraction) = x

Step-by-step explanation:

From the given triangle JKL;

Hypotenuse KJ = 10.9

Length LJ is the opposite = 8.9cm

The angle LKJ is the angle opposite to side KJ = x

Using the SOH CAH TOA Identity;

sin theta = opp/hyp

sin LKJ = LJ/KJ

Sinx = 8.9/10.9

x = arcsin(8.9/10.9)

sin−1(StartFraction 8.9 Over 10.9 EndFraction) = x

What values of b satisfy 4(3b + 2)2 = 64?
Vikentia [17]
Given the equation 4(3b + 2)² = 64, dividing both sides of the equation by 4, we have (3b + 2)² = 16 and getting the square root of both sides, (3b + 2) = 4 and (3b + 2) = -4 We can solve for b for each equation and have 3b = 2 | 3b = -6 b = 2/3 | b = -2 Therefore, the values of b are 2/3 and -2 and from the choices, the answer is <span>A: b = 2/3 and b = -2.</span>

Solve 4/x-4=x/x-4-4/3 for x and determine if the solution is extraneous or not
4vir4ik [10]

<u>Answer:</u>

x = 4 (extraneous solution)

<u>Step-by-step explanation:</u>

\frac { 4 } { x - 4 } = \frac { x } { x - 4 } - \frac { 4 } { 3 } \\ \frac { 4 } { x - 4 } - \frac { x } { x - 4 } = - \frac { 4 } { 3 } \\ \frac { 4 - x } { x - 4 } = - \frac { 4 } { 3 } \\ 3 ( 4 - x ) = - 4 ( x - 4 ) \\ 1 2 - 3 x = - 4 x + 1 6 \\ 4 x - 3 x = 1 6 - 1 2 \\ x = 4 \\

This solution is extraneous. Reason being that even if it can be solved algebraically, it is still not a valid solution because if we substitute back x=4, we will get two fractions with zero denominator which would be undefined.

lesya [120]
Resultant Vector: 554 N in the angle 80 degrees with the horizontal.

First, we must put each given in Polar form:
1. 500 N in the angle of 35 degrees with the horizontal
2. 400 N in the angle of 140 degrees with the horizontal in the same direction of the first guy wire (counterclockwise direction)

Then, add up the two polar forms, and it would give 553.59 in the angle of 79.26 with horizontal- counterclockwise direction. As estimated, 554 N in the direction of 80 degrees North of East.
