Suppose you want to treat your office team to lattes at a local coffee shop. The drinks are $4.25 each plus you plan to buy a $2

scone for yourself. You also tip the barista 10% and have to pay 8.25% sales tax. How many lattes can you afford if you have $60 to spend?

Answer:

I'd say you could but 11 lattes

Step-by-step explanation:

First of all I worked out the complete price of the latte which is $4.45*1.1825. Then I took away from the $60 I have to spend the price of the scone plus the sales tax and tip ($2*1.1825).

That leaves you with about 11 lattes plus some change... I think... Sorry this is my first answer here. Hopefully it helps...

ABC is a triangle and PQ is parallel to BC.<br>BC=12.6cm, PQ=8.4 cm and AQ= 7.2 cm.<br>Find AC
nlexa [21]

With a line parallel to a side through a triangle we get similar triangles so a proportion.

AC : BC = AQ : PQ

AC = BC AQ / PQ

AC = 12.6 (7.2) / 8.4

AC = 10.8 cm

Carolina is mowing lawns for a summer job. For every mowing job, she charges an initial fee plus \$6$6dollar sign, 6 for each ho
Margarita [4]

For this case, the first thing we must do is define variables.

We have then:

t: number of hours

F (t): total charge

We write the function that models the problem:

F (t) = 6t + b

Where,

b: represents an initial fee.

We must find the value of b.

For this, we use the following data:

Her total fee for a 4-hour job, for instance, is $ 32.

We have then:

32 = 6 (4) + b

From here, we clear the value of b:

32 = 24 + b

32-24 = b

b = 8

Then, the function that models the problem is:

F (t) = 6t + 8

Answer:

the function's formula is:

F (t) = 6t + 8
