Not all children are from a Christian home and not all are religious. The existence of several different religions makes controversial the act of forcing children to recite Christian prayers, when they and their families follow other religious principles. In addition, it can be argued that religion is something that should not be imposed, it is necessary that an individual has full control of his choices, in order to be able to decide for himself which religion to follow and which prayers to say. Children do not have this ability.
Accordingly, I conclude that the imposition of recitation of Christian prayers or any other religion within public schools, should be disallowed because it violates the rights of freedom of religion, imposes concepts on beings has no ability to choose and hurts the institutionalization of Laic State.
