Answer:

Almonds = 400grams

Cashew = 300 grams

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the grams of cashew be represented by = C

the grams of almonds be represented by = A

A 700 g dry fruit pack costs ₹216 .It contains some almonds and the rest cashew kernel

C + A = 700g ......Equation 1

C = 700 - A

If almonds cost ₹288 per kg and cashew kernel cost ₹336 per kg

Let's convert them to grams

1 kg = 1000grams

For almonds

= 288/1000 = 0.288g

For cashew

= 336/1000 = 0.336g

Hence,

0.288 × A + 0.336g × C = ₹216

0.288A + 0.336C = 216

From Equation 1, substitute 700 - A for C in Equation 2

0.288A + 0.336(700 - A) = 216

0.288A + 235.2 - 0.336A = 216

Collect like terms

0.288A - 0.336A = 216 - 235.2

- 0.048A = -19.2

A = -19.2/-0.048

A = 400 grams

Substitute 400g for a in Equation 1

C + A = 700g ......Equation 1

= C + 400g = 700g

C = 700g - 400g

C = 300g

Therefore, the number of grams of Almonds = 400grams

Cashew = 300 grams

In March 2015, the Public Policy Institute of California (PPIC) surveyed 7525 likely voters living in California. In the survey,
balandron [24]

Answer:

(\hat p_A -\hat p_B) \pm z_{\alpha/2} \sqrt{\frac{\hat p_A(1-\hat p_A)}{n_A} +\frac{\hat p_B (1-\hat p_B)}{n_B}}

And for this case the confidence interval is given by: (0.275, 0.305)

We can estimate the proportion difference as:

\hat p_D = \frac{0.275+0.305}{2}=0.29

And the margin of error would be:

ME=0.305-0.29=0.015

So then for this case the possibl two options are:

We are 95% confident that the true difference in proportion of Latinos who view global warming as a serious problem and whites who view global warming as a serious problem is 27.5% to 30.5%.

We are 95% confident that the difference between Latino and white opinions about the severity of global warming is 29% with a margin of error of 1.5%.

Step-by-step explanation:

Previous concepts

A confidence interval is "a range of values that’s likely to include a population value with a certain degree of confidence. It is often expressed a % whereby a population means lies between an upper and lower interval".

The margin of error is the range of values below and above the sample statistic in a confidence interval.

Normal distribution, is a "probability distribution that is symmetric about the mean, showing that data near the mean are more frequent in occurrence than data far from the mean".

p_A represent the real population proportion of Latinos who view global warming as a serious problem

\hat p_A=0.75 represent the estimated proportion Latinos who view global warming as a serious problem

n_A is the sample size required of Latinos who view global warming as a serious problem

p_B represent the real population proportion of white who view global warming as a serious problem

\hat p_B =0.46 represent the estimated proportion  of whitewho view global warming as a serious problem

n_B is the sample size required of white

z represent the critical value for the margin of error

Solution to the problem

The population proportion have the following distribution

p \sim N(p,\sqrt{\frac{p(1-p)}{n}})

The confidence interval for the difference of two proportions would be given by this formula

(\hat p_A -\hat p_B) \pm z_{\alpha/2} \sqrt{\frac{\hat p_A(1-\hat p_A)}{n_A} +\frac{\hat p_B (1-\hat p_B)}{n_B}}

And for this case the confidence interval is given by: (0.275, 0.305)

We can estimate the proportion difference as:

\hat p_D = \frac{0.275+0.305}{2}=0.29

And the margin of error would be:

ME=0.305-0.29=0.015

A direct variation function contains the points (–9, –3) and (–12, –4). Which equation represents the function?
katen-ka-za [31]

Answer:

\displaystyle y = \frac{1}{3}x

Step-by-step explanation:

First, find the <em>rate of</em><em> </em><em>change</em><em> </em>[<em>slope</em>]:

\displaystyle \frac{-y_1 + y_2}{-x_1 + x_2} = m \\ \\ \frac{3 - 4}{9 - 12} = \frac{1}{3}

Then plug these coordinates into the Slope-Intercept Formula instead of the <em>Point-Slope</em><em> </em><em>Formula</em><em> </em>since you get it done much swiftly that way. It does not matter which ordered pair you choose:

−4 = ⅓[−12] + b

−4

\displaystyle ±0 = b \\ \\ y = \frac{1}{3}x

_______________________________________________

−3 = ⅓[−9] + b

−3

\displaystyle ±0 = b \\ \\ y = \frac{1}{3}x

**You see? I told you it did not matter which ordered pair you choose because you will ALWAYS get the exact same result.

I am joyous to assist you anytime.

What is the interquartile range of the data set?
Fantom [35]
The interquartile range<span> (</span>IQR<span>) is a measure of variability, based on dividing a </span>data set<span>into quartiles.
