Francis Scott Key wrote the "Star Spangled Banner" lyrics as a poem during the War of 1812, which was an carrying weapons conflict between the United States and Great Britain. The lyrics were put to music and were fated to be part of American history as the National Anthem of the USA. The correct answer is A “What is that which the breeze . . . half conceals, half discloses?”. This line describes the flag and its movement, standing over Fort McHenry and blowing in the wind during the War, hiding then revealing the Star Spangled Banner.
