Nora is in the business of manufacturing phones. She must pay a daily fixed cost to rent the building and equipment, and also pa

ys a cost per phone produced for materials and labor. The labor and materials cost $150 for each phone manufactured, and the total cost of producing 8 phones in a day would be $2200. Write an equation for C,C, in terms of p,p, representing total cost, in dollars, of producing pp phones in a given day.

Answer:

C(p) = p*50 + 300

Step-by-step explanation:

Using the names:

Clm: cost of labor and materials

Crm: fixed cost on rent and equipment

p: number of phones

and Ct: total cost

the ecuation would be number of phones times the cost and material plus the fixed cost, something like this

p * Clm + Crm = Ct

on the example we have all the data except the rent and equipment cost (the fixed cost) so thats what we need to solve

producing 3 phones its

3 *¨50 + Crm = 450

Crm = 450 - 150 = 300

so replacing in the above formula the equation would be

C(p)=p * 50 + 300

A four-person committee is chosen from a group of eight boys and six girls. If students are chosen at random, what is the probab
Lapatulllka [165]

Answer: 0.07

Step-by-step explanation:

in the group, we can have only 4 persons.

we have 8 boys, and 6 girls.

We want to find the probability that in the comite we have only boys.

Ok, for the first selection, the probability of selecting a boy is equal to the number of boys divided the total number of the group ( 8 + 6 = 14) this is

p1 = 8/14.

For the second selection we do the same, but we already slected a boy, so now the number of boys is 7, and the total number of posibilities is 13.

p2 = 7/13.

for the third selection we do the same, in this case the probability is

p3 = 6/12

for the fourth selection the probability will be:

p4 = 5/11

The joint probability, of all the events happening at the same time, is equal to the product of the singular probabilities:

P = p1*p2*p3*p4 = (8/14)*(7/13)*(6/12)*(5/11) = 0.07

vova2212 [387]

Answer:

(5x²+2y² + 2xy)(5x²+2y²-2xy)

Step-by-step explanation:

25x⁴+4x²y²+4y⁴= (5x²)²+2*5x²*2y²+(2y²)² - 16x²y²= (5x²+2y²)² - (4xy)²= (5x²+2y² + 2xy)(5x²+2y² - 2xy)
