The answer is “both saw it as a necessary response to the privileges of royalty and aristocrats”

Though both agreed that Revolution was necessary in France against royalty and aristocrats, what Washington an Jefferson disagreed on was American intervention to aid the French Revolution. Jefferson felt the United States owed France aid in war since after the French had aided in the American Revolution they signed a treaty promising to provide aid if France then after went to war. Washington on the other hand felt that their obligation to the treaty had been terminated since the king whom they signed the treaty with was now dead, and he did not otherwise think it would be a good idea to engage Americans in the French Revolution because he worried that it would not only be too expensive for the newly formed nation but would also cost too many American lives

A false premise is best defined as
alina1380 [7]

Answer:

Correct answer here is D: an incorrect assumption that forms the basis of an argument.

Explanation:

The reason for this comes from the definition of what a false premise is. Basically, a false premise is an assumption, or an idea, that may be wrong, or is false, and leads to a conclusion that may also be wrong, but that is not illogical. This means that, because the premise, the main assumption, is wrong, my conclusion to it may also be wrong, but this doesn´t mean that both the premise, and/or the conclusion, are illogical or impossible. For example, when we say: It is a nice day, because the sun is shinning. Because the sun is shinning is the premise, or assumption, that leads to the conclusion that the day is nice. These two are logical, but it doesn´t mean that the day is nice BECAUSE of the sun shinning. There may be other truer reasons for the day to be nice, other than the sun shinning, which may lead to the  conclusion being wrong as well. This is why the correct answer is D.
