Let me tell you about the person in my life who showed me that I could be amazing, my brother Tewolde. Tewolde was my best frien

d growing up and the closest friend I ever had. And the reason we were so close is we lived in a refugee camp together for three years. We moved to a whole new country together and learned English together. Kids on the playground called him Toilet instead of Tewolde and they called me Salami instead of my full-name Selamawi, and if there were 20 kids trying to beat me up on the playground, my brother Tewolde was there and we'd get pummeled together, and I'd do the same for him. Well, in high school, my brother became the man. He started his own cleaning business. He worked assiduously washing windows and cleaning offices and one summer he worked all night every night cleaning a huge Toyota dealership. With the money, he helped my family and also saved for college. When he was 17, and in his last year of high school, my brother took a trip up to Montana to visit a friend of his and about 3 a.m., a drunk driver started driving the wrong way on the highway. My brother was driving behind this huge van and the van saw the drunk driver coming, and at the last second, the van didn't want to get into a head on collision with the drunk driver, so the van swerved off the road. My brother didn't have time to react and the drunk driver slammed into my brother's car and killed my brother instantly. That was the worst thing that ever happened to me growing up; something I hope you never go through. But it's kind of weird, that this horrible occurrence, taught me the biggest lesson of my life. After my brother passed away, I went into his room and looked through his drawers and I found a photo of a little child from South America, just a little cute, dark-haired kid. With the photo was a letter saying thank you for sponsoring this child from South America. I was awestruck. My brother was struggling to make money, just cleaning bathrooms, his family was on food stamps, and he was trying to help his family out, too; he was broke, yet he was paying $20 a month to help a little orphan kid across the world have enough food to eat. Read this sentence from the passage: "He worked assiduously washing windows and cleaning offices and one summer he worked all night every night cleaning a huge Toyota dealership."

statuscvo [17]

Answer:

The difference of dialect is not the issue. The Latin connection is.

Explanation:

To start with, we can assume that the American doesn´t speak a Spanish dialect, because dialects are generally spoken by minorities in their own home country. The reason why the truck driver believes the American speaks an Italian dialect is simple: it´s due to the fact that Spanish is a Latin lenguage, i.e. the lenguage spoken by the Romans (first only in Rome, then all over Italy during the beginning of the Roman Republic and by 117 AD the Roman Empire and it´s lenguage was all over Europe). The similarity of Spanish and Italian is a bit like Dutch and German, because Dutch has German roots, whereas Spanish has Latin roots.

Explain how Francis offends Deputy Governor Danforth. What does the fact that Danforth is offended tell us about his character?
monitta

Francis says that the young ladies have deluded the court, this insults Danforth on the grounds that he has 400 people in prison and 72 people being hung. The way that he is insulted discloses to us that Danforth has a favorable opinion of himself.

Explanation:

When Francis Nurse enters the court, he enters with a request of 91 marks that address the character of his significant other, Rebecca, Giles Corey's better half, just as Elizabeth Proctor. Danforth rules the court like a despot. He is a cold character who immovably accepts that Abigail Williams and different young ladies are unequipped for lying.

In the event that the young ladies to such an extent as yell out a name, Danforth accept the name has a place with a witch. His artlessness is surpassed distinctly by his grandiosity.
