mes driving for x hours to the interview. Choose ALL correct statements for this situation.
A) 50x + 5 = 450
B) 50(x + 5) = 450
C) 50x + 250 = 450

E. I said either because 50×5 is 250 which means that’s how long he drove the first five hours then he stopped and once he resumed he travels the rest of the 200 miles and 50×4 is 200 so if you add up the first five hours and then the rest of the four hours it equals nine.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given that X is a normal random variable with parameters µ = 10 and σ 2 = 36,

X is N(10, 6)

An isosceles triangle used to rack billiard balls has a base of 11.25 inches. The sides of the triangle meet at a 56° angle. To
lara [203]

Answer:

The measure of each sides of isosceles triangle is 16.67 inches , 16.67 inches , 11.25 inches

Step-by-step explanation:

Given as for a Isosceles triangle :

The base of Triangle = 11.25 inches

The sides of triangle meets at 56°

Let the unknown side measure = x inches

From The property of isosceles triangle

The angle opposite to the same side are equal

I.e \Theta _1 = \Theta _2 = 56°

So, The third angle = 180° - ( \Theta _1 + \Theta _2 )

Or, The third angle = 180° - ( 56° + 56° )

∴ The third angle = 180° - 112° = 68°

Now, From isosceles triangle

Tan 56° = \frac{perpendicular}{base}

Or, Tan 56° = \frac{x}{11.25}

∴ x = 11.25 × Tan 56°

Or, x = 11.25 × 1.482 = 16.672 inches

Hence The measure of each sides of isosceles triangle is 16.67 inches , 16.67 inches , 11.25 inches Answer

The graph shows a line and two similar triangles. On a coordinate plane, a line goes through (0, 0) and (8, 2). A small triangle
drek231 [11]

Answer:

 \dfrac{y}{x}=\dfrac{1}{4}

Step-by-step explanation:

When the line goes through the origin (0, 0), we can say that y is proportional to x. Then the ratio of y (the vertical measure) to x (the horizontal measure) is the same as the ratio of "rise" (the vertical change) to "run" (the horizontal change).

 y/x = rise/run = 1/4

The equation of the line is ...

 y/x = 1/4

Morgarella [4.7K]

Answer:

We can show that ∆ABC is congruent to ∆A′B′C′ by a translation of (x-2, y) unit(s) and a across the x-axis.

Step-by-step explanation:

The triangle ABC is shown in the image attached. The coordinates of the triangle are A(8, 8), B(10, 4), C(2, 6), while the triangle A'B'C' is at A'(6, -8), B'(8, -4), C'(0, -6).

A transformation is the movement of a point from its initial location to a new location. Types of transformation are rotation, translation, dilation and rotation.

If a point O(x, y) is translated a units on the x axis and b units on the y axis, the new coordinate is O'(x+a, y+b).

If a point O(x, y) is reflected across the x axis, the new coordinate is O'(x, -y)

Hence if triangle ABC is translated -2 units on the x axis (2 units left), the new coordinates are A*(6, 8), B*(8, 4), C*(0, 6). If a reflection across the x axis is then done, the new coordinates are A'(6, -8), B'(8, -4), C'(0, -6).

Jaclyn has $120 saved and earns $40 each month in allowance. Pedro has $180 saved and earns $20 a month in allowance. If they bo
stich3 [128]
First, let's make an equation as to how to find how much money they have altogether:

(M stands for the # of month)

Jaclyn: 120 + 40m
Pedro: 180 + 20m

So let's plug-in 1 for m (1 will stand for 1 month)

Jaclyn: 120 + 40 * 1 = 160
Pedro: 180 + 20 * 1 = 200

I made a table depicting how much they'll make for the next 5 months (attached below). According to that, on month 3, they will have made the same amount of money (or $240).

So they will have the same amount of money in 3 months. Hope this helps! :)
