First, use the distributive property to expand the first equation.

3(x-4)=3*x+3*-4
=3x-12
Then we solve this as if it were an equation

3x-12≥5x+2
Minus 3x is
-12≥2x+2
Minus 2 is
-14≥2x

Which gets us that x \leq 7 (We had to flip the sign because we divided by a negative number).

You'll notice that this matches none of the choices, however, we are looking for the solution set, not the solution. In this case, it means any number that is less than 7. The correct answer is -10.

A tourist views a deer from a height of 45 feet. The horizontal distance between the tourist and the deer is 130 feet. At what a
jeka94

Answer:

19°

Step-by-step explanation:

You can form a right triangle using the given information. The height would be the opposite side of the triangle and the  the distance between the tourist and the deer would be the adjacent side. To find the angle we can use the tangent

Tan x = opposite side / adjacent side

Tan x = 45/130

x = Tan^-1 (45/130)

x = 19°

A 13 ounce box of cereal cost $3.99. What is the unit price per pound?
goldenfox [79]

Answer:

I dont know how many pounds are in an ounce but I'll give you an explanation using kilograms and grams as an example and I'll talk you through it

Step-by-step explanation:

there are 1000 grams(g) in a kilograms (kg) just so you know

let's say I have a 13 g box of cereal for $3.99.

I do a ratio to work out 1 kg

13 g : $3.99

1000g : x

In your case your going to write

13 ounces : $3.99

[here write how many

ounces are in a pound] : x

to find x you 1st have to take the 2 numbers you do know and divide them

so in my example I do 1000g÷13 g = 76

then I take 76.92 and I multiply it by the other side

$3.99 x 76.92 = 306.91

for me 1kg of cereal is worth $306.91

all you need to do is replace my 1 kg with how many ounces are in a pound
