If two cards are chosen at random from a deck, one at a time, replaced after each pick, what is the probability that a black card is chosen first and a heart is chosen second?

P(Black)  = 26/52  = 1/2
P(heart) = 13/52 = 1/4

These are multiplied ( as the 2 events are independent)

P( Black then heart)  = 1/2 * 1/4 = 1/8
