explain the relationship between multiplying and dividing by 10 100 1000 and moving decimals point to the right or to the left
ch4aika [34]

So basically a decimal is moved based on how many zeros are in the dividing number

Ex. 51,000/100

because there are 2 zeros in the number one hundred, the decimal in 51,000 gets moved 2 places to the left

So it goes from 51,000 to 510

Ex. 16 * 1000

There are three zeros in the number 1000. This means three zeros will be added onto the number 16

So the answer would be 16,000

Hope this helps!

stiks02 [169]
Let x = # of rides

Plan A: 10 + 3x

Plan B: 20 + x

if x < 5 rides then plan A is better buy
if x = 5 both plans are the same
if x > 5 then plan B is the best buy

Prove:
x = 6 (rides)

plan A: 10 + 3x = 10 + 3(6) = 10+18 = $28
plan B: 20 + x = 20 + 6 = $26

Answer:

with 0.10 level of significance the P-VALUE that would be used in the hypothesis claim is 0.05%

Step-by-step explanation:

In hypothesis testing in statistics, we can say that the p-value is a probability of obtaining test results when we assume that the null hypothesis is correct.

The p-value is the probability that the null hypothesis is true.

A p-value less than or equals to 0.05 is statistically significant. It shows strong evidence against the null hypothesis, meaning there is less than a 5% probability the null is correct and clearly we can say that the results are random.
