Divers in a competition are scored by an international panel of judges. The highest and the lowest scores are dropped. The total

of the remaining scores is multiplied by the degree of difficulty of the dive. this product is multiplied by .6 to determine the final score.
A diversr's final score is 77.7 what is the degree of difficulty of a dive?

The scores are 7.5, 8.0, 6.5, 8.5, 7.0, 7.5, 7.0.

Let

x--------> the degree of difficulty of the dive

we know that

1) The highest and the lowest scores are dropped

so

highest scores=8.5

lowest scores=6.5

the remaining scores=[7.5, 8.0, 7.0, 7.5, 7.0]

2) Find the total of the remaining scores

=[7.5+8+7+7.5+7]\\ =37

3) The total of the remaining scores is multiplied by the degree of difficulty of the dive

so

37*x

4) This product is multiplied by .6 to determine the final score

[37*x]*0.6=77.7\\ 22.2*x=77.7\\ x=3.5

therefore

the answer is

the degree of difficulty of the dive is 3.5

As the highest and lowest scores are dropped, start by putting the scores in order from lowest to highest. This tells you that 6.5 and 8.5 are dropped and the remaining scores (7 + 7 + 7.5 + 7.5 + 8) make 77.7. The final score is equal to the judges' scores multiplied by the dive's difficulty, multiplied by six. This can be written as s = 6(jd). With the question’s values: 77.7 = 6(37d). To start, divide both sides by 6: 12.95 = 37d. Then divide both sides by 37. 0.35 = d. The degree of difficulty is 0.35.

Hello there, and thank you for posting your question here on brainly.

To convert a decimal to a percent, you have to make the decimal a whole number by getting rid of the decimal point, and then at a % sign.

0.125 ===> 125

125 ===> 125%

Hope this helped!! ☺♥

The batting Wang Xiu Ying uses to fill quilts has a thermal conductivity rate of 0.030.030, point, 03 watts (\text{W})(W)left pa
alexgriva [62]

Answer:

0.0003W/cm°C

Step-by-step explanation:

The question is not properly written. Here is the correct question.

The batting wang xiu ying uses to fill quilts has a thermal conductivity rate of 0.03 watts (W) per meter(m) per degree celsius. what is the batting thermal conductivity when w/cm•c

Given the thermal conductivity in W/m°C to be 0.03W/m°C

We are to rewrite the value in W/cm°C

The difference is the unit. The only thing we need to do is to simply convert the unit (metres) in W/m°C to centimeters (cm)

Since 100cm = 1m, 0.03W/m°C can be expressed as shown below;

= 0.03W/m°C

= 0.03 × W/1m×°C

Note that 1m = 100cm, substituting this conversion into the expression, it will become;

= 0.03 × W/100cm × °C

= 0.03/100 × W/cm°C

= 0.0003W/cm°C

Hence the battling thermal conductivity in W/cm°C is 0.0003W/cm°C

If h(x) = 5 x and k(x)=1/x, which expression is equivalent to (koh)(x)?
Lyrx [107]
May be there is an operator missing in the first function, h(x). I will solve this in two ways, 1) as if the h(x) = 5x and 2) as if h(x) = 5 + x

1) If h(x) = 5x and k(x) = 1/x

Then (k o h) (x) = k ( h(x) ) = k(5x) = 1/(5x)

2) If h(x) = 5 + x and k (x) = 1/x

Then (k o h)(x) =k ( h(x) ) = k (5+x) = 1 / [5 + x]
