A hospital gives a survey to all surgical patients asking them to rate the quality of their hospital experience. One month after

surgery, the hospital contacts the patients again to ask if there were any complications from the surgery. Last year, the results of the surveys showed that of the patients who had a poor hospital experience, 23% had post-surgical complications. What conclusion can be drawn from this study?

Answer:

a) Some patients who have a poor hospital experience also have post-surgical complications.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given is :

Last year, the results of the surveys showed that of the patients who had a poor hospital experience, 23% had post-surgical complications.

The conclusion that can be drawn from this study is - Some patients who have a poor hospital experience also have post-surgical complications.

If we turn the percentage in figures, we can see that almost 2.3 person or 2 patients out of 10 patients have a poor hospital experience and also have post-surgical complications.

So, this is a low value that is why the correct answer is Some patients who have a poor hospital experience also have post-surgical complications.

Solutions:

As given in the question ,  patients who had a poor hospital experience, 23% had post-surgical complications.

Option (C) appears the right choice from my point of view which is c) Most patients who have a poor hospital experience also have post-surgical complications.

The reason being , that the patients who suffer from these complications have    experienced badly  in the last hospital where they were diagnosed or cured.

In △EKL, m∠K = 90º, m∠E = 25º, EK = 3 cm, KH - altitude. Find EH.
laiz [17]

Answer:

EH = 3.31

Step-by-step explanation:

We have been given a right angle triangle EKL. As KH has been given as the altitude (perpendicular) of the right angled triangle, and K is the right angle, we can say that EK is tthe base of the triangle and EH is the only side lleft, which is the hypotenuse of the triangle.

Where,

EK = Base = 3

KH = perpendicular altitude

EH = Hypotenuse

m<K = 90

m<E = 25

We know that

cosθ = Base/ Hypotenuse

cos 25 = 3/ EH

EH = 3/cos25

EH = 3.31

Perpendicular alitutude can also be calculated by using the formula for tanθ.

Elizabeth lives in San Francisco and works in Mountain View. In the morning, she has 333 transportation options (take a bus, a c
matrenka [14]
All transportation (bus, cab, train) are all similarly likely to be selected, and 1 of them must be selected at morning and evening, so we get: P (bus) = P (cab) = P (train) = 1/3. We also have P(no cab in evening) = P(no cab at morning) = 2/3
Now, P(using cab exactly once) = P(cab at morning and no cab in the evening) + P(no cab at morning and cab in the evening)
= P(cab, no cab) + P(no cab, cab)
= 1/3 * 2/3 + 2/3 * 1/3
= 2/9 + 2/9
= 4/9
Probability that Elizabeth uses a cab only once is 4/9.

You just measured a sugar cube and obtained the following information: mass = 3.48 g height = length = width = 1.3 cm Determine
nignag [31]

Answer:     Volume of sugar cube=2.20 cm³

Density of sugar cube = 1.60 g/cm³.

The sugar cube will sink.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given : Mass of cube = 3.48 g

Also, dimension of sugar cube :

height = length = width = 1.3 cm

Since , the volume of cube = (side)³

Volume of sugar cube=(1.3) ³= 2.197 ≈ 2.20 cm³

Also, Density = \dfrac{\text{Mass}}{\text{Volume}}

⇒ Density of sugar cube = \dfrac{3.48}{2.2}=1.5818\approx1.60\ g/cm^3

∴ Density of sugar cube = 1.60 g/cm³.

It is known that the density of water is 1 g/cm³.

Here , density of sugar cube >  density of water

⇒ The sugar cube will sink .
