An acrobat of mass m slides down a vertical rope of height h. For the first three quarter of her descent she grips the rope with

her hands and legs so as to produce a fictional force equal to five-ninth of her weight.she then tighten her grip so that she comes to rest at the bottom of the rope. Sketch a (t .v) graph to illustrate her descent

Using the work-energy theorem would be best in solving this problem. The net work on an object causes a change in the kinetic energy of the object, based from the work-energy theorem. For this, the formula for net work = change in kinetic energy = final kinetic energy - initial kinetic energy.

So, first sliding distance covered 3/4 with a net force 1-5/9 = 4/9 and w (w stands for weight of acrobat)

Therefore, work done = 4/9 * 3/4
In the next step, the distance to be covered is 1/4.
So, let the new frictional force required be X w
Therefore, net force upward = (X - 1) w
Thus, work to be done = (X - 1) * 1/4 w---------(2)
Equating X = 1 + 4/3 = 7/3

So, the frictional force that she must produce in the last quarter has to be 7/3 times her weight.

According to the chart below, what percentage of Ralph’s expenses are items other than taxes?
pochemuha

Answer:

  • 65%

Explanation:

Please, see attached the chart corresponding to this question.

The chart is a pie chart that shows the percentage composition of the expenses and uses color to identify each item.

The items corresponding to taxes are:

  • Federal tax: 29%
  • State tax: 6%

All the other expenses are not taxes.

Add the two items that are taxes: 29% + 6% = 35%.

Hence, the expenses that are not taxes can be calculated by difference:

  • 100% - 35% = 65%.

Which expression is equivalent to (4 + 7i)(3 + 4i)? –16 + 37i 12 – 28i 16 – 37i 37 + 16i
ASHA 777 [7]

Answer:

The equivalent expression is \Rightarrow -16+37i

A is correct

Step-by-step explanation:

We are given two complex number and need to multiply it. To find equivalent fraction.

(4+7i)(3+4i)

Using Binomial product property: (a+b)(c+d)=ab+ad+bc+bd

\Rightarrow (4+7i)(3+4i)

\Rightarrow 4(3)+4(4i)+7i(3)+7i(4i)

\Rightarrow 12+16i+21i+28i^2

Combine the like term and simplify

\Rightarrow 12-28+37i \because \ \ i^2=-1

\Rightarrow -16+37i

Hence, The equivalent expression is \Rightarrow -16+37i

A pizza lover wants to compare the average delivery times for four local pizza restaurants. Over the course of a few weeks, he o
xenn [34]

Answer:

At least two of the restaurant have different mean delivery time.

Step-by-step explanation:

The ANOVA known as Analysis of variance involves the hypothesis testing of means on the basis of variances. The null hypothesis in ANOVA is taken as the equality mean i.e. H0: All means are equal. Whereas alternative hypothesis consists of at least two means are not equal.

The problem states that a pizza lover is comparing average delivery time. The null and alternative hypothesis in this case would be

H0: All restaurant have equal mean delivery time.

H1: At least two restaurant have different mean delivery time.
