First let us calculate the moles of K2Cr2O7 that was supplied.

moles K2Cr2O7 = 0.0010 M * 0.0083 L = 8.3x10^-6 mol

From the chemical formula itself, we see that there are 7 O for every mole of K2Cr2O7 or 3.5 O2. Therefore:

moles O2 = 8.3x10^-6 mol K2Cr2O7 * (3.5 mol O2 / 1 mol K2Cr2O7)

moles O2 = 2.905x10^-5 mol O2

Calculating for the mass of O2 in mg:

mass O2 = 2.905x10^-5 mol O2 * (32 g / mol) * (1000 mg / g)

mass O2 = 0.9296 mg

Therefore the chemical oxygen demand (COD) is:

COD = 0.9296 mg / (0.025 L)

<span>COD = 37.184 mg/L</span>

This question is incomplete. Luckily, I found the same problem which is shown in the attached picture. To answer the question, we must know how the size and charge affect the lattice energy. The answer is: lattice energy increases with the increasing charge of the ions, and decreasing radius of the atoms. <em>Therefore, the ranking would be: A < B < C</em>.

A 0.1025-g sample of copper metal is dissolved in 35 ml of concentrated hno3 to form cu2 ions and then water is added to make a
GalinKa [24]

Molarity is defined as number of moles of solute in 1 L of solution.

Here, 0.1025 g of Cu is reacted with 35 mL of HNO_{3} to produced Cu^{2+} ions.

The balanced reaction will be as follows:

Cu+3HNO_{3}\rightarrow Cu(NO_{3})_{2}+NO_{2}+H_{2}O

From the above reaction, 1 mole of Cu produces 1 mole of Cu^{2+}, convert the mass of Cu into number of moles as follows:

n=\frac{m}{M}

molar mass of Cu is 63.55 g/mol thus,

n=\frac{0.1025 g}{63.55 g/mol}=0.0016 mol

Now, total molarity of solution, after addition of water is 200 mL or 0.2 L can be calculated as follows:

M=\frac{n}{V}=\frac{0.0016 mol}{0.2 L}=0.008 mol/L=0.008 M

Thus, molarity of Cu^{2+} is 0.008 M.

Ammonium perchlorate nh4clo4 is the solid rocket fuel used by the u.s. space shuttle. it reacts with itself to produce nitrogen
Setler [38]
The reaction of ammonium perchlorate with itself is as follows:
<span>2NH4ClO4 ..........> N2 + Cl2 + 2O2 + 4H2O
</span>
From the periodic table:
molecular weight of nitrogen = 14 grams
molecular weight of oxygen = 16 grams
molecular weight of hydrogen = 1 gram
molecular weight of chlorine = 35.5 grams

Therefore:
molar mass of ammonium perchlorate = <span> 117.5 grams

Now, we know that 2 x </span><span> 117.5 = 235 grams of ammonium perchlorate are required to produce 28 grams of nitrogen. We can use cross multiplication to determine the amount of hydrogen produced from 3.1 grams of ammonium perchlorate as follows:
mass of nitrogen = (3.1 x 28) / 235 = 0.369 grams</span>
