170% means 170/100 in (fraction form)
so to get 170% multiply 170/100 by 85.
14450/100 will be the fraction..the Simplified version is 144.5.
That is how much Elsie has to pay.
Now subtract to find the profit.
So, (144.5-85) is 59.5.
So the stores profit is $59.5.

Hope this helped, and please mark brainliest! :)

2. A computer shop charges P20.00 per hour (or a fraction of an hour) for the first
Misha Larkins [42]

Answer:

(a) For 40 minutes the charge is P20.00

(b) For 3 hours the charge is P30.00

(c) For 150 minutes the charge is P30.00

Step-by-step explanation:

The given parameters are;

The amount the computer shop charges for the first two hours = P20.00

The amount the computer shop charges for a fraction of an hour = P20.00

The amount the computer shop charges for each extra hour = P10.00

Therefore, the amount the computer shop will charge for each time, is given as follows;

(a) For 40 minutes, we have;

The duration of 40 minutes is less than two hours, therefore, the amount the computer shop will charge = P20.00

(b) For a duration of 3 hours, the amount the computer shop will charge is given by the following relation

The amount charged for the first two hours = P20.00

The amount charged for the next extra hour to make 3 hours = P10.00

The total amount charged for the 3 hours = P20.00 + P10.00 = P30.00

(c) For a duration of 150 minutes, we have;

150 minutes =  2 hours 30 minutes

Therefore, the amount charged will be equivalent to the amount charged for 3 hours or P20.00 + P10.00 = P30.00.

Which represents a quadratic function? f(x) = −8x3 − 16x2 − 4x f (x) = three-quarters x 2 + 2x − 5 f(x) = StartFraction 4 Over x
tatyana61 [14]

Answer:

2.\ f(x) = \frac{3}{4}x^2 + 2x - 5

Step-by-step explanation:

Given

f(x) = -8x^3 - 16x^2 - 4x\\f(x) = \frac{3}{4}x^2 + 2x - 5\\f(x) = \frac{4}{x^2} - \frac{2}{x} + 1\\f(x) = 0x^2 - 9x + 7

Required

Which of the above is a quadratic function

A quadratic function has the following form;

ax^2 +bx + c = 0 \ where \ a\neq 0

So, to get a quadratic function from the list of given options, we simply perform a comparative test of each function with the form of a quadratic function

1.\ f(x) = -8x^3 - 16x^2 - 4x

This is not a quadratic function because it follows the form f(x) = ax^3 + bx^2 + c and this is different from ax^2 +bx + c = 0 \ where \ a\neq 0

2.\ f(x) = \frac{3}{4}x^2 + 2x - 5

This function has an exact match with ax^2 +bx + c = 0 \ where \ a\neq 0

By comparison; a = \frac{3}{4}\ b = 2\ and\ c = -5

3.\ f(x) = \frac{4}{x^2} - \frac{2}{x} + 1

This is not a quadratic function because it follows the form f(x) = \frac{a}{x^2} + \frac{b}{x} + c and this is different from ax^2 +bx + c = 0 \ where \ a\neq 0

4.\ f(x) = 0x^2 - 9x + 7

This is not a quadratic function because it follows the form f(x) = ax^2 +bx + c = 0\ but\ a = 0

Unlike the quadratic function where a\neq 0

So, from the list of given options, only 2.\ f(x) = \frac{3}{4}x^2 + 2x - 5 satisfies the given condition

Explain how knowing 1+7 helps you find the sum for7+1
ss7ja [257]
1+7 and 7+1 are the same equations. The numbers are just switched around .
Example:
1+2=3
2+1+3

<span>They add up to the same answer no matter where they are placed, therefore knowing 1+7 helps you find the sum of 7+1 (again, because they are the same)  </span>
