14.6 is the constant because no matter how many hours she will work (that number could change) it will always be a linear growth of 14.6.

Answer:

Find out the what is the constant of proportionality .

To prove

As given

The total amount, a, in dollars, that Mitra earns is a = 14.6h .

The total amount in dollars is represented by a.

the number of hours that Mitra works by h .

As the total amount is depand upon the working hours.

Thus

a \propto h

a = kh

Where k is the constant of proportionality .

Compare this with the equation a = kh with  a = 14.6h  .

k =14.6

Therefore 14.6  is the constant of proportionality .

Prepare the Sales Budget assuming: 1. Expected sales volume: 8,000 units for the first quarter, an increase of 20% is expected f
solong [7]

Answer:

Sales budget $     for the 4 quarters is  $ 600,000    $ 720,000            $594000 and $ 825,000

Production Budget in units for the four quarters i s     7997.6            9000             8900  and  10,350 units

Step-by-step explanation:

Sales Budget

Quarters               I                    II                    III                    IV

Sales Volume    8000           9600                7200            10,000

<u>Sales Price       $75.00        $75.00           $ 82.50            $82.50 </u>

<u>Sales $              600,000     720,000            594000         825,000  </u>

We calculate the sales volume by applying the given percent to the sales units for each quarter. Then multiply it with the sales price to get the sales budget.

<u />

Production Budget

Quarters               I                    II                    III                    IV

Sales Volume    8000           9600                7200            10,000

+ Desired

Ending Inv.      2400            1800                3500               3850

<u>Less Opening   -----              2400               1800               3500           </u>

<u>Production      7997.6            9000             8900                10,350          </u>

We find the production budget units by adding the desired  ending inventory and subtracting the opening inventory from the sales units calculated above. The ending inventory of one quarter is the opening inventory of the next quarter.As we do not know the ending inventory of the previous year we cannot find the opening inventory of the 1st quarter of the year .

Solve the following quadratic equations by extracting square roots.Answer the questions that follow.
Vikentia [17]

Answer:

1.  x=±4

2. t=±9

3. r=±10

4. x=±12

5. s=±5

Step-by-step explanation:

1. x^2 = 16

Taking square root on both sides

\sqrt{x^2}=\sqrt{16}\\\sqrt{x^2}=\sqrt{(4)^2}\\

x=±4

2. t^2=81

Taking square root on both sides

\sqrt{t^2}=\sqrt{81}\\\sqrt{t^2}=\sqrt{(9)^2}

t=±9

3. r^2-100=0

r^{2}-100=0\\r^2 =100\\Taking\ Square\ root\ on\ both\ sides\\\sqrt{r^2}=\sqrt{100}\\\sqrt{r^2}=\sqrt{(10)^2}

r=±10

4. x²-144=0

x²=144

Taking square root on both sides

\sqrt{x^2}=\sqrt{144}\\\sqrt{x^2}=\sqrt{(12)^2}

x=±12

5. 2s²=50

\frac{2s^2}{2} =\frac{50}{2}\\s^2=25\\Taking\ Square\ root\ on\ both\ sides\\\sqrt{s^2}=\sqrt{25}\\\sqrt{s^2}=\sqrt{(5)^2}

s=±5 ..

During a bike challenge, riders have to collect various colored ribbons. Each 1/2 mile they collect a red ribbon, each 1/8 mile
Marizza181 [45]
<span>
Plus every fraction you will get 7/8
And the question says about the ribbons he will get at 3/4 miles

so let the whole road is 1

so, according to the equation ; (1-7/8) = 1/8

and (1-1/4) = 3/4

so the answer is green and blue

Prompt Becoming a Lifelong Learner Learning a language opens doors to a world of opportunity. Of course, in order to really benefit from your studies, you’ll need to do more than just complete assignments. You’ll need to set habits that will tie you to French and its cultures even beyond the classroom. Students who become lifelong learners of French have some basic characteristics and habits that you should develop if you want to get the most from your experience learning French Here are some of them: Lifelong learners: Have friends with whom they regularly converse in the target language. (This could be friends in school, neighbors or friends in the community.) Regularly get information from target language sources (newspapers, magazines, Internet French related news group (with parent’s approval), TV programs, radio, etc. that are produced by and for native speakers.) Participate in activities of the target culture (celebrating holidays, seeing movies or plays of/in the target culture, preparing or eating dishes from the target culture, reading books or magazines from the target culture, etc.) Someone who has developed these habits is on the way to becoming a lifelong learner. These types of habits reinforce a strong connection to the language and culture and develop a love and better understanding of that culture. Think for a minute about the resources available. Do you have friends who are native French speakers? Do you ever watch French channels on television? You can probably think of several online sources. Maybe you have some stores or restaurants in your community that are run or frequented by French speakers. Also think about when you could do this on a regular basis—remember that it’s setting the habits that will make the most difference. Using the table below as a guideline, write what you plan to do. For the Language or Culture Resources column, try to identify three different resources: 1. A friend or contact 2. An information source, and 3. A cultural activity. In the What I Will Do column, describe as specifically as you can what you will do. And in the When I Will Do It column, write when you plan on doing these activities. See the sample below to see how you might fill out your own table. You will have opportunities to follow up and report on your regular practice of engaging French resources close to home. You will be asked in a follow up assignment to report on what you have done. Language or Culture Resources: What I Will Do: When I Will Do It: 1 1 1 2 2 2 3 3 3 *Sample: Language or Culture Resources: What I Will Do: When I Will Do It: 1. French exchange student 1. I will practice French…. 1. M-F between 9 and 10 am. 2. French newspaper: JDD.fr 2. I will read an article a week 2. Every Tuesday at 3:00pm 3. French films 3. I will see a French film every month 3. The first Friday of every month. If you are still unsure where to begin, ask your teacher for additional ideas that can help get you started. Regardless of how you go about making your French cultural connection, be sure to make a plan and to think about a longer-term strategy for getting the most from your time with your chosen resources. **Start your plan next week. You will report on this assignment towards the end of the semester. The final report will be worth 50 points. This assignment is worth 20 points.
